A new apartment development with 199 units for rent and approximately 15,000 square feet of retail space at Woodward Avenue and Erskine is expected to be complete by December.

Mayor Mike Duggan, executives from Birmingham-based project developer Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services Inc. and others spoke Monday morning during a media event at the project construction site attended by more than 100 people.
