A German court has dealt #Google a blow, saying #YouTube should prevent its users from posting copyrighted music clips without permission.

YouTube was partly backed by the court's #GEMA decision, in which it was found that the site did not have to proactively trawl through its site in search of possible copyright violations but only had to take action at the request of the rights holder.

Do you think this could pave the way for YouTube (and similar sites) to pay royalties?
