Nice theater. The show I watched there, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder was outstanding. Parking is not free though.

Comfortable seats, reasonable leg room and good sightlines. No washrooms on the Orchestra level, and the elevators are slow and often full, making things difficult for anyone who physically can't use the stairs (and too many physically able people using the elevator)

Clean and elegant. Nice acoustics. Excellent bar service. Ample choice for a theatre.

Stage & production of Phantom was wonderful. Management of the Princess of Wales Theatre was not. Namely Jason Powell, he was unaccommodating & truly unhelpful. Myself & a guest waited for 15 minutes during intermission for a bottle of water at the bar on the main floor. While waiting, the bartender assured us that we could be seated at the beginning of the second act. (No harm, no foul... always tip). We arrived to our entrance just as the doors were closing. After being held at the door for additional 10-15 minutes, we found the manager & asked what could be done. We explained the situation & expressed our disappointment in missing the opening (now 20 mins) of the 2nd act. His response was that the time we missed was not 'the best of play'. He did not express sympathy or offer a simple apology. He seemed to want to argue over the matter. WE PAID $150 /ea. for our tickets & were so annoyed with this interaction that we left..tickets in hand. What started as a lack of communication among the staff, resulted in a huge disappointment & the untimely early ending to an otherwise lovely evening. Management should be an earned privilege I will never go back to this theatre. Tickets EE 18 & 19.

The best venue in the city for live theatre. A beaufitul, historic building with almost no bad seats (at least in my experience) HIGHLY ACCESSIBLE! This is THE most wheelchair friendly theatre in Toronto. Plenty of washroom, all located on multiple floors and a selection of elevators. Parking under the theatre only fills up when there is a show, otherwise a great underground option for downtown. Usually $20 or less. $5 SMART CAR PARKING EVERYDAY!

My Wife and Daughter and I attended Phantom January 2nd, 2016. I have bragged of the earlier era of our many visits to Phantom at the Pantages Theatre. The production of Phantom at Princess of Wales was over-the-top, but a very large part of this was the due to The Princess of Wales Theatre. It has a majestic, colourful and rich sentiment with a round rather than long from-the-stage design. During pensive scenes, I looked for a pin to drop as not a voice or sound could be heard keeping one's entire focus on the performance. I expect the back stage to be tight, so the use of rotating and splitting sets and the use of off-angle scenes was both a compliment to the production and the theatre true. I'll babble on and on, but I would visit any production at the Princess of Wales due to the presence of the Theatre herself.

Beautiful theater that always has an incredible selection of plays! The leg room isn't the best and the line up at the bathroom is also always huge so before you arrive!
