Have you come across mentions of the Post Office or letter writing in a recent (or favourite) book? Please share them with us as we try to find as many as we can for The Postal Museum! http://bit.ly/1mdpWUK
Opening in early 2017, our new museum in Clerkenwell, London, will reveal stories from five centuries of Britain’s remarkable, and often curious, social and communications history through the eyes of one of its most iconic services.
While the Museum is under construction, Freeling House is home to the Royal Mail Archive, which holds the written records of Royal Mail, the GPO and the Post Office, as well as stamps, posters, photos and more.
There is an exhibition area which is used to display some of highlights from our collections.
Entry to Freeling House is free and public tours are held regularly.
