Sales Consultant Position

Sales activities are conducted through the Showroom facilities located in Rhodes, via our online store and onsite with our diverse customer base.

With clear, sunny skies above us and even clearer audio from the portable PA system, local members enjoyed the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability’s presentation. Located at Waverton, the old coal loader site has been transformed by North Sydney Council from an industrial site to a place where residents can learn about sustainable technology, community gardens and regeneration.

Whether the event is large or small, The P.A. People’s Hire Department is always ready to assist. This week we got to pay a visit to our friends at the University, Unions and Schools Club for their Rugby Union luncheon in the Sydney CBD. Our ZX Electrovoice powered speaker system ensured that every insight and tactic shared was heard by one and all with equal clarity.

Installed Systems Project Manager Position Available

As part of the Installed Systems team, the Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning,monitoring and controlling processes. The Project Manager is responsible for the completion of the project
on time, on budget and on spec. To this end, the Project Manager performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, co-ordinating all resources and stakeholders; setting deadlines; assigning responsibilities; monitoring quality and performance, summarizing and communicating the progress and profitability of the project.

You will use your ability to read / interpret drawings, comprehend design detail and administrate contracts whilst combining your knowledge of OH&S and Quality Management Systems to ensure the projects you manage deliver a successful outcome for the client and the company. Essential to achieving consistent results are your highly effective planning, organising and problem solving skills together with your strong communications skills (both written and verbal) to lead, motivate and influence others.

The Project Manager is required to use their own initiative, apply deductive reasoning, continuity and productivity together with cost management to ensure that the Projects are on time and within budget. Commercial acumen together with a strong understanding and capacity to meet client requirements with diplomacy and sensitivity to solving complex problems are fundamental to this position.

Installation Technician Position Available:

As an Installation Technician, you will report to the Installed Systems manager and work with the team of installers and Project Managers. You will be required to complete work tasks on constructions sites, client premises and within our office. These tasks would include the installation and mounting of cable and equipment for audio, AV, lighting, broadcast and control systems, working with product and system schematics. This would include working predominately in a team environment, though being able to manage yourself and your own time is highly desirable.
The role will require you to provide and maintain your own basic hand tools. Good physical health and mobility are required to complete most works and if a health or physical issue would impair your ability you would need to advise at time of application and limitations.

Our friends at Hewlett Packard once again invited our Hire team to assist with their quarterly meeting in the beautiful Reading Cinema at Rhodes Shopping Centre. Our involvement was to ensure all of HP’s audio and visual requirements came together to ensure the experience for all involved was a positive one.

Unions NSW, CFMEU Labour Unions Rally in the Sydney CBD
When the CFMEU marched, you could certainly hear them! The two thousand strong crowd gathered in the streets of Sydney CBD for their latest Labour Union rally and The P.A. People were there to amplify all of the action.

This week saw our Hire team assist Woollahra Council present their annual Poets’ Picnic in Blackburn Gardens, Double Bay. Showcasing some of Sydney’s youngest and brightest poets with a backdrop of some truly stunning scenery, the evening was a delight from beginning to end. Our JBL Array speaker system allowed for every word in every ballad, poem and ditty to be heard clearly. A great night was had by all!

The P.A. People were on site again for all the glitz and glamour of this year’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras street parade. We enjoyed helping our fabulous friends from the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association deck out their float with a combination of lighting and audio to keep everyone dancing.
