I brought three friends here with me for the first time for restaurant week and had a less than stellar time but was personally invited back by Lisa the assistant manager and had a LOVELY time. The food was great (the brunch burger is AMAZING, topped with two cheeses and pork belly!). I highly recommend it.

They recently charged me $150 for not canceling a reservation before the “72h minimum” policy. ABSURD The food is OK but inferior to places such as Waverly inn, Casa Lever or Cipriani which I highly recommend.

The place was really cute, but it seemed too overpriced. I expect delicious food if I'm going to be paying a good amount. I've had much better food at cheaper locations, but the ambiance was fun and they have a huge selection of wine bottles.

Food: Decent but a bit bland. There's definitely a lot better restaurants in nyc. We had the tuna tartar, truffle gnocchi, lamb chop, pork, french fries, roasted carrots. The last two were the best part of the meal. Everything else as bland. Atmosphere: It's what you expect it to be with all the hype, hipsters, celebrities, and want to be scene folks in nyc. The decor is cute. Overall: I'm always surprised why people expect places like this to actually have great food and good service. You are paying for the scene.

I love the intimate vibe of this restaurant, even if you're likely to be in a room jam-packed with celebrities if you go. The decor is elegant but still comfortable and classic. Their menu consists of mostly upscale southern comfort food, and I always look forward to the buttery biscuits they give you before the meal. Their pasta with shaved black truffles on top is one of most luxurious meals I've ever had. Service has always been great and the staff very friendly. A great place to go for special occasions...or if you want to indulge!

The Lion is themed on a traditional British pub, and as someone from the UK I can say that it's the most glamorous pub I've ever been too. Not a sticky carpet or dart board in sight! The food and drinks here are great, though again you'd never have to pay quite as much for your burger at a Whetherspoons back home. It's a great buzzy spot to be, and I'd go back.

As a restaurant this place was just okay. The food, especially for their prices, left a lot to be desired. The service was great though as were their drinks, and as others have noted it attracts a trendy crowd and has a cool atmosphere. In the end I almost felt that we were better off hanging out at the bar.

We're not their target demography.....we know too much and thought the "cool factor" wasn't.........though attractive young people are always attractive. Food is fine. Service is fine. Prices are silly. Way too much noise.
