Convenient location. Bathroom was covered in hair and dust, tooth mug was also dirty. Architraves were dusty as were skirtings behind furniture (only looked as we were trying to plug the room telephone in to call reception and ask for house keeping) short on time so said to receptionist on way out who apologised and offered us the room next door, we had a quick look and it seemed OK at first glance but was also on later/further inspection not as clean as it should have been. Dusty hairy corners in the bathroom and what was either rice or toenails under the desk along with again dusty architraves. Would have been good value but nothing is good value when cleanliness is an issue. I only wish when I posted my review on trip advisor I had added the photos as there was a down right cheeky reply friends from the owner with an insincere apology for the 3 hairs and dirty tooth mug missed by the busy cleaner, the whole floor was covered in hair. Not great customer service.

Good location a short taxi ride from the station with nice nearby pubs/restaurants, good service and great full English.

I am absolutely disgusted with the level of service from this hotel upon asking about making a reservation. I had looked to book a group reservation but was bluntly told that they do not make group bookings and the conversation ended without any apology or explanation. When complaining about this experience I was simply sent this response: 'Hi there, you were not told bluntly, you were advised t that we do not take of the size of group that you require, which when asked you said 18 – 20. If you feel that an honest and factual response in answer to a question is blunt, then please accept my apologies. Regards' To say this level of service is unacceptable is being polite and I will not be using the service of this hotel, nor will my family or friends, in the future. I cannot comment on the hotel itself but with this level of service at the face of the business, I would not expect a great service!

had a great wee night at this hotel. Breakfast was to die for. Stornaway black pudding mmmm. Rooms were clean and tidy and were a good size. parking was a wee bit difficult but we managed to get a space. Overall a nice experience. Will be back
