July 25, 2015 Today we held an Irish Wake at the James Joyce and everything was fantastic. Food was delicious and all the staff made our day very special by the way they treated us and our guests. Ana was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend the James Joyce to everyone. Thank You all at The James Joyce Pub and Restaurant. I will come again and again and again. ' Thank You, Mary Shea

Came in from out of town and was impressed by the great food, atmosphere and great wait staff. If your there for the beer they had large selection. Great kids menu too. They even have a glass of chocolate on the table to nibble on. Highly recommend it!

barkeeping at its finest. Collin was the man at the helm during our visit while on a tour of downtown baltimore. we were first attracted by the 2 for 1 draft coupon from the water taxi pamphlet. we sat down at the upper bar so we could all sit comfortably and Collin gave us all individualized recommendations of local brews based on our likes. An authentic irishman with the gift of gab and bartending that really put James Joyce over the top. with coupons you worry about subpar service but Collin made this entire experience for us. Will be back when he returns from our home state's Bourbon trail in February!

I love this place for a drink. Never really tried the food, but it has a great atmosphere, often helped out by Irish music.

I don't like reviewing Irish pubs as a rule since I worked in one, owned by an Irishman and the bar is really high. Sadly, James Joyce didn't measure all the way up. The good - Great service and spacious dining room. It really has a nice ambiance and the dark wood Guinness taps add an Old World feel. I had the Shepard's pie and my friend had a beef sandwich, with some friend pickles to start. All the food was good. Here are my issues - not a lot of authentic feel to the menu. And, again, the food was only OK. Prices are a bit steep but it is the Harbor East. This is the place to go when you want to go to an Irish Bar without eating like the Irish.

Great restaurant and bar! The wait staff was very friendly and courteous. We went on Valentine's Day with no reservation and they got us a table in between reservations which was totally awesome! Will definitely recommend and go back when in Baltimore again.

James Joyce is my watering hole. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but you get a decent portion, and personally, I think the food is great. Their fish and chips is almost always on special on Tuesdays, which also happens to be the night that Trivia happens. The wait staff is awesome and friendly, and so are the really great bartenders. When you have a pint of Guinness poured, it is poured properly. Every. Single. Time. It's a damn fine place, and it makes me happy.

Wonderful Irish Pub environment with great service and excellent food. Totally satisfying experience. Only problem I have is that this place isn't in Charlotte, NC.
