I recently spent 3 nights at The Grand Hotel, during the American Volkssport Association (AVA) convention. I arrived before the 3PM check in time, but I decided to see it my room was ready. The clerk at the desk, Mika, I think her name was, was very professional and kind. She said my room would be ready within the hour, but she did the paperwork to get me checked in. Within 15 minutes she called to say my room was ready! The hotel was extremely nice, and I was very impressed that the convention committee chose this hotel. It was in a great location. Everything about the hotel was great! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and walking around the Salem area. There are many wonderful eating establishments in the area, and shopping is nearby. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and quite modern. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to try the hotel's in house restaurant, but I heard raving reviews from others who did. I would definitely recommend The Grand Hotel, whether you are there for a convention, or just a leisurely visit!

I travel frequently in my business, so stay in hotels regularly. I stayed at The Grand Hotel last week for a conference, and it was a great experience. I requested a room on the top floor that was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is amazing here. After checking with the front desk my first morning to see if an important overnight letter had arrived, they told me no, but a short time later, they actually called my cell phone to say it had arrived. This kind of service is rare these days and much appreciated. The included breakfast was very nice, with many choices. I had dinner both nights I was there at Bentley's Grill, which is connected to the hotel. The staff and food there was also exemplary. I will definitely be staying at the The Grand Hotel on my next trip to Salem.

Last October we stopped at The Grand Hotel in Salem, Oregon, on our way back to Seattle from Sacramento. We didn't have a reservation, found it online after arriving in Salem, and couldn't have been happier. This past May, on our way back from our son's wedding, we stayed at The Grand Hotel again. The reasons are pretty simple: Competitive price; free indoor parking; free wi-fi; oven fresh cookies; a terrific staff (from the front counter to the folks who take care of the rooms), and a fabulous restaurant (Bentley's) which we at at both times. The food was top flight and the wait staff was knowledgable and friendly. Oh, and did I mention that breakfast was included the next morning. As long as the hotel and restaurant remain competitively prices....we'll continue to frequent both.

My wife and I attended a Convention that was held at the Fair Grounds there in Salem, Oregon - May 22 - 24, 2015. Our stay at The Grand Hotel in Salem came about as a very high recommendation by some friends that had stayed there before. And as it turned out this [our first time staying in Salem] we were thoroughly pleased with the Grand Hotel the 4 days that we were there. The start of each morning we enjoyed the wonderful breakfast in [The Marion Room] there at the Hotel, very friendly dinning staff (especially Michelle) and our evening [The Bentley Grill] meals for the whole time we were there were equally EXCELLENT!!

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Salem for our daughter's recent graduation from the University of Oregon. As we hail from California and we had family flying into Portland from New York & Michigan, our daughter strongly suggested we NOT stay in Eugene, OR as it would be too crowded with commencement activities. We found the Grand Hotel on the internet and figured Salem was a good 1/2-way point between Portland & Eugene. We were NOT disappointed as every staff member we encountered was kind, professional and extremely helpful. We even had our graduation dinner @ Bentley's Grill in the hotel and that was very special. Our waitress, Judy, celebrated right along with us as we had way too many drinks. We reserved two rooms next to one another and really appreciated the separate living room from the beds. We will definitely return to The Grand Hotel in Salem and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Oregon!!!

I first learned of The Grand through my work, often booking rooms for our corporate travelers. Recently I was able to experience the hotel first hand, when my husband and I along with our 3 daughters spent an "urban adventure" night there. We live in the area, but wanted to do something special for a birthday celebration. We are SO very glad we did!! The staff at The Grand were absolutely outstanding - from the front desk to the breakfast crew and through housekeeping. Everyone we interacted with were wonderful! Warm and friendly, and made us feel they truly wanted our stay to be the best ever. Which it was! The Family Suite is perfect for any family traveling - 2 queen beds in the main room, with a separate bedroom with a king bed. The world seems to be geared to families of 4, which has always been a struggle for us. The Grand's Family Suite solved that issue remarkably well! We will definitely come back! The only reason I gave the hotel 5 stars.... it was the highest option. :) You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

The Grand Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. At a recent convention I attended, the entire experience of meeting rooms, sleeping rooms and dining rooms was wonderful. The staff was more than helpful with any question or service needed. If and when I come back to Salem, I will most certainly stay at The Grand Hotel..........................Joan Lampart, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Came to Salem for a military conference and was very impressed by the great service and positive attitudes of the entire staff. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to assist my wife and I when we arrived. The location is perfect right in the downtown area and within easy walking distance of running paths along the river. Plenty of parking and very easy and convenient to get to. We will definitely be staying here again.
