Came to Salem for a military conference and was very impressed by the great service and positive attitudes of the entire staff. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to assist my wife and I when we arrived. The location is perfect right in the downtown area and within easy walking distance of running paths along the river. Plenty of parking and very easy and convenient to get to. We will definitely be staying here again.

" Dont Stay @ the Grand " , OK First thing , I booked this hotel because I read the reviews and it was ratted 4 stars through this site and I thought it was going to be grand do to the reviews I read . But instead it was almost 200 bucks for a ! Rock Hard BED ! SUPER Small TV with no cable box . SUPER Small mini fridge that was almost 70 degrees at its lowest setting . The comp Breakfast was totally distasteful , I mean horibally bad ! The pool and hot tub is small . The weight room was extremely limited in free weight equipment. THE PARKING GARAGE IS 2" SHY OF THE TOP OF A FULL SIZE CHEVY TRUCK ! Super skimpy ! I will not ever stay there again ! PERIOD! U SHOULDN'T EITHER OF U CAN READ MY OPINION , CUZ , I'M 100% TELLING YOU THE TRUTH. THE only good thing was the 5 setting shower head had a great 3 stream massage setting that was backed by excellent water pressure and steady scolding hot water , OK that's it, the only good thing period

While attending a meeting is Salem I had the opportunity to stay and The Grand Hotel. It was a wonderful experience; this was the second time I have stayed there. I had a special request and when I asked the front desk employees if they could accommodate me they said they would check. To my surprise they said yes, they could make request happen. As it turned out I didn't need it after all, but just to know that they went to extra lengths to make it happen was a great service. The room was very spacious, clean and heated just right for me. The breakfast area was clean and had ample food for everyone. (I believe there were 4 or 5 meetings going on at the same time). All of the staff that I saw had a smile on their faces and greeted everyone. I will definitely stay there again. I commend management for hiring such wonderful people to work for them. Keep up the good work.

Staying at the Grand Hotel in Salem is always a pleasurable experience. The desk staff is very helpful and friendly; the room is always immaculately clean and comfortable; the complimentary breakfast is among the best I've eaten anywhere. The close proximity to the Salem Convention Center is a bonus. Definitely one of the best hotels at which I've stayed, and a great value for the price, too.

I travel frequently in my business, so stay in hotels regularly. I stayed at The Grand Hotel last week for a conference, and it was a great experience. I requested a room on the top floor that was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is amazing here. After checking with the front desk my first morning to see if an important overnight letter had arrived, they told me no, but a short time later, they actually called my cell phone to say it had arrived. This kind of service is rare these days and much appreciated. The included breakfast was very nice, with many choices. I had dinner both nights I was there at Bentley's Grill, which is connected to the hotel. The staff and food there was also exemplary. I will definitely be staying at the The Grand Hotel on my next trip to Salem.

We stayed at this Hotel just a few days ago. My Husband had a Medical Emergency. The staff could not have been more caring or helpful. The Hotel Manager came to the room and helped me get my husband up off of the floor and onto his walker. So very thoughtful. The Hotel is goreous and very comfortable. Thanks for a really good experience. It could have been so much worse apart from you kindness and professional help.

Staff were difficult to communicate with, room keys didn't work, had to turn off noisy heater unit at 1am and had to wake up to a cold room. Went back the next day to pick up iPhone chargers we forgot and had to talk to 2 managers and two other staff and undergo ridiculous questioning after already providing photo ID, room number and proof of stay. Not going back.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my wife's birthday. It was a surprise, and she kept commenting on how beautiful the hotel was and that she felt like she was a queen while she was there. (She LOVED the room service Crème Brulee) Thank you for providing a fantastic experience for my wife of 23 years. We will recommend your hotel to everyone we know.
