We're big fans of the crazy "Checkmate" Caesar at Score On Davie - it's the one that comes garnished with chicken wings and a burger that all your friends have Instagrammed. So we can't wait to try their two new Caesars this summer: enter The Royale with Chaesar (topped with a cheeseburger and onion rings) and the Tater Taesar (served with a hard boiled egg, maple sausage, bacon and tater tots) - via Daily Hive http://ow.ly/J1EW302mJ5W
Starting Monday, July 18, two new Caesar creations at Score on Davie could take your eating and Caesar-drinking game to a whole new level.

Vancouver's coolest horse racing event is on Saturday! It's got hats, fancy cocktails and a whole lot of swagger. All you need to know about The Deighton Cup: http://ow.ly/B26e302dFwN
Horse racing is a spirited event, and we’re not just talking about the prancing ponies. It’s also all those cocktails being imbibed by the onlookers. After all, as Deighton Cup cocktail director Al…

Even if you're not into sheep dog trials, The Fair at the PNE, Vancouver's annual agricultural fair, is a whole lot of fun. There are the rides, obviously, but we're all about two things: the free summer concerts and the weirdo food. Catch primo acts like Culture Club, Olivia Newton John and The Monkees, and then eat things like a Big Pickle Corndog and Red Velvet Nutella Mini Donuts (more on those below). http://ow.ly/BqJx3028Rtp

Officially, it's Honda Celebration of Light, but in Vancouver, we just call it "the fireworks." And once you've seen it, this jaw-dropping display will ruin all other fireworks for you. Held over 3 nights, July 23, 27 and 30, right down on the waterfront, it's definitely worth checking out! http://ow.ly/6wpK301rJdP

All rooms open to the outside with a courtyard in the middle. Big space under room door, so winters would be cold & drafty. The sink was too small to even wash hands. Walk to everywhere downtown & Stanley Park. Quaint, but mainly for show. Substance was basic.

This is the hotel I recommend to any of friends and this is where my family stays every single time, the best service at the best price in all downtown Vancouver, it's nice, clean, quiet and the service is good, the only thing is that it does get full in summer or whenever there are activities in Vancouver like in my case last year a bicycle Marathon.

Very nice hotel with a fun atmosphere and style. The room is great and you have absolutely everything you need (king size bed, flat screen TV, wifi, nespresso machine, fridge, safe...). The only problem for me was that I had to ask for a "Do not disturb" sign three times and never got it. Also, they give you fresh towels everyday even if you don't want new ones.

Stayed twice in this hotel, avoid this noisy front rooms, V8 pickups and sirens will wake you all night! Nicely modernized 1960's? Small courtyard hotel with good public transport links. I would stay again.

One of the hippest, most unique hotels I have ever been to. The retro theme is sleek yet entertaining, and the fire pit in the courtyard is a nice touch. Free passes to a great gym next door, and free cruisers to bike around the parks - we took them around Stanley park's sea wall path and it was a beautiful trip.

Funky retro renovated hotel located in a cool Vancouver neighborhood. Built in the Fifties but updated with WiFi, Nespresso, flat screens, and AC in each room. Walking distance to mass transit and many good bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and rates that undercut it's corporate neighbors.

Great courtyard and decent rooms. The overall vibe was not as young and cool as expected.
