Officially, it's Honda Celebration of Light, but in Vancouver, we just call it "the fireworks." And once you've seen it, this jaw-dropping display will ruin all other fireworks for you. Held over 3 nights, July 23, 27 and 30, right down on the waterfront, it's definitely worth checking out! http://ow.ly/6wpK301rJdP

One of the hippest, most unique hotels I have ever been to. The retro theme is sleek yet entertaining, and the fire pit in the courtyard is a nice touch. Free passes to a great gym next door, and free cruisers to bike around the parks - we took them around Stanley park's sea wall path and it was a beautiful trip.

This is the hotel I recommend to any of friends and this is where my family stays every single time, the best service at the best price in all downtown Vancouver, it's nice, clean, quiet and the service is good, the only thing is that it does get full in summer or whenever there are activities in Vancouver like in my case last year a bicycle Marathon.

Very nice hotel with a fun atmosphere and style. The room is great and you have absolutely everything you need (king size bed, flat screen TV, wifi, nespresso machine, fridge, safe...). The only problem for me was that I had to ask for a "Do not disturb" sign three times and never got it. Also, they give you fresh towels everyday even if you don't want new ones.

This hotel should be avoided on hot, summer days. There is no central or"normal" air conditioning system. The portable, self-standing AC Gizmo is making so much noise that it is impossible to sleep with this thing on. Room was too hot to sleep and function with the "AC" turned off. Our room (July 20-21, 2015) was facing the main street and it was very noisy, because big window on the street side was not sound-proof. Hard plastic bottle-dispensers of shampoo and other liquids in the bathroom required superman's strength to squeeze desired liquid. Rather than above "deficiencies", hotel has is in a central location, staff was nice and helpful, and most importantly, room and bathroom were very clean. Because of the AC and noise problems, the hotel should have lower rating and the rooms are not worth the current price.

All rooms open to the outside with a courtyard in the middle. Big space under room door, so winters would be cold & drafty. The sink was too small to even wash hands. Walk to everywhere downtown & Stanley Park. Quaint, but mainly for show. Substance was basic.

Funky retro renovated hotel located in a cool Vancouver neighborhood. Built in the Fifties but updated with WiFi, Nespresso, flat screens, and AC in each room. Walking distance to mass transit and many good bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and rates that undercut it's corporate neighbors.

Great courtyard and decent rooms. The overall vibe was not as young and cool as expected.

Was here for a long stay in May and really, REALLY liked this hotel! It had all the items that you'd expect from a hotel, and a few more! It's a converted motor lodge, but they did a really good job of it! The 2nd floor is a lush garden area to sit and relax, read a paper perhaps, but it's definitely a get-away space! Rooms were standard size as I was in a double, and the bathrooms were redone as well. While the bathroom sink was small and the water pressure could have used a boost (4th Floor), it was still very functional! The Staff is what made this an excellent stay: warm, friendly, willing to provide advice, help with a cab, sign you up for free bikes to tour the town! They are the reason that I'd come back here! Really good job!!
