Cocktails, Anyone?
When it feels like spring will never come, it's time to grin and bear the snow with a citrus-y cocktail. Citrus, to ward off scurvy, and cocktail, because, well, who doesn't love a cocktail? Lately, I have been enjoying a dash of St. Elder in my drinks - th...

Yep, You Should Do This: Get Fitted for a Bra
I know, I know. You've heard it's important to be fitted for a bra. But is the experience really worth it? You go into some bubblegum pink shop, a bored shop girl tosses a tape measure around your ribcage, and then points you to a bin of bras that are "your...

Keeping Cool
February has officially beaten Boston. With over 100 inches of snow this winter (65 inches in February alone), we're just hoping we'll be able to clear it away to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade in a few weeks! Frankly, the fact that it's almost March is...

These shots were taken on my way to the coffee shop this morning; I thought I would venture out before the next blizzard and have a caf é   au lait and a few minutes with my book. For Valentine's Day, Mr. TBF is cooking dinner. I requested steaks, forgettin...

Friday Blow Out
How T.G.I.F are we this week? I'm celebrating Friday with a floaty, flippy skirt and hair (thanks, Mario Russo salon for the blow out!). They are both all season favorites - I love this skirt in the summer with a simple tee, and in the winter layered with t...

What to Wear to a Game in Boston
We've all heard the jokes about Boston's fashion scene revolving around Red Sox caps. And I won't lie, when I pulled on a Celtics hoodie this weekend, Mr. TBF was dubious. "How fashion-y!", he laughed. Look, there is nothing wrong with showing your fan-dom....

Uptown Girl
Ok, so my last post was a little whiny, wasn't it? None of that today - I'm over it! It's a great time to be in Boston; there are amazing events happening all around the city this weekend. Here are just a few: Lady of the Camellias - The Boston Ballet: If y...

St. Lucia Mini-Break with JetBlue Getaways (Part III)
We encountered the land crab at some point after the waterfall. A land crab does, in fact, exist, and this one was none too happy with us. We were hiking the Des Cartiers trail through the rain forest (in the pouring rain, no less) on our  JetBlue Getaways ...

Introduction
Fashion is everywhere these days - TV shows, blogs, even smart phone apps. And hey, remember magazines? It all seems so glamorous, doesn't it? Tall, thin people. Flowing, shiny hair. Expensive clothes. Five inch heels navigating cobblestone streets. How do they do it? More importantly, how do we?

Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I moved to Boston in January 2005. I've never lived in New York, Milan or Paris, but I have lived in Chicago, Green Bay and Berlin, and I can tell you that fashion is everywhere. Sometimes we might carry our heels in our bag when we have to walk ten blocks. We might choose to buy a $20 tee shirt instead of one for $200. But we all want to look and feel amazing in our clothes, and, gosh darn it, I think we can!
