This hotel is full of modern charm. I love the colourful and tasteful design of the interior, with plenty of artwork, and the great hospitality of the staff. It is clean and has great facilities. Its great location is handy to the tram lines for CBD shopping, and close to Albert Park for a stroll or walk. The restaurant offers modern, clean cuisine - and great coffee. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 6 nights across a busy long weekend. The front desk staff especially Brian were responsive and helpful. I was disappointed in the quality and timeliness of the daily room cleaning. We had to chase it up twice and for the expense of our stay felt it was a minimal service. Apart from that, the hotel is in a fabulous location. The art is beautiful!

A gorgeous hotel where the staff bent over backwards to be friendly and welcoming. The paintings everywhere transformed it from a normal hotel into a visual feast and a unique experience. The breakfast was delicious and everything was just perfect. We were very sorry to leave...

The warm professional reception was backed up by prompt service, comfortable rooms and amenities as well as the 'arty' style of the facility...the price was good as well. Access to the restaurant and cafe is excellent with everything in one spot. The Meeting room facilities were excellent and the function support crew did a great job keeping us fed and watered. The location of the Hotel is attractive as it is in a quite area, easy to get to and from, and there are plenty of parks and exercise opportunities near by.

We had a lovely stay at The Blackman. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large with balcony's and nice views. Underground car park if you need to drive there, very close to the city with a tram stop just up the street a little. The only issues we had with our stay , they pushed two beds together to make a king size and the join was a problem to sleep on and the shower was a little small. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

I have stayed at The Blackman 28 times, and enjoy my stay every time. The rooms are always clean and well presented, with crisp linen and fluffy towels. It is the little things that matter - like good toiletries, which are ALWAYS replaced on a daily basis. The staff are exceptional in their service and nothing is too much of a problem, even when I needed extra firm pillows for a bad back, late at night. It feels like a home away from home, and you are always assured of a friendly smile! Thank you.

Front desk staff smile as soon as you walk in - sets the tone for an enjoyable stay. Beds are so comfortable, pillows are great, and the rooms are beautiful. Food in the new french restaurant was scrumptious. Almost worth travelling for work to be able to stay here :)
