Jing, it was brief, but entertaining. 3 & 1/2 stars.

The Blackman is definitely one of the best in Melbourne. Home away from home.

What a lovely hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did have a slight setback with regards to our bed type (some beds aren't true king beds), but the front desk staff were wonderful and found us a new room with a full size king bed. On that note, if you want a full size king bed make sure you request it when booking. Some king beds are actually 2 mattresses with a crack down the middle, however, there are a number of full, single piece king beds available upon request.

We had one night here and wished it could have been longer. We had not realised how well equipped the room would be for a longer stay, including a cooktop, dishwasher and kitchen equipment. The level of comfort was superb and the additional services (bikes, scooters, smart cars) are a very neat idea. Our 10yo daughter was massively impressed by having her own bed with TV (!) and the little art kit. It was well placed for getting into the city or other parts of Melbourne, the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

The prices here are ridiculous the Pullman next door is $131 per night for members while The Blackman is charging $319 per night for a studio. Absurd !! Also the staff have become ARROGANT and snobby, what a waste of $1000 staying here.

Stayed 1 night, Easter Sunday in Melbourne alone. The hotel was welcoming and so friendly from the minute I arrived at the door! The gowns are great, sat around and relaxed in one most of the night. The bed was super comfortable and the curtains blocked the light really well. The furnishing were all very stylish and the couches were comfortable. The sunrise was so beautiful in the morning. Overall it was a great experience, the room was very comfortable, great views, great size. The offerings of snacks were delicious and prices were reasonable. Loved the art canvas too as part of the in-room offerings, didn’t buy it, but was certainly tempted to get creative!
