Delightful decor, comfortable beds and a great deal. However, minor annoyances prevent 5 stars, such as only supplying 2 coffee bags, mismatched glasses, some broken fittings and lazy cleaning. On the upside, staff are friendly, there's a great cafe, Smart cars for hire cheaply. May be interested in trying other locations in the Art Series.

All aspects of our stay at The Blackman were excellent. The room was delightful with an extensive balcony and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. We hired a smart car from the hotel for $30/half day which was incredibly convenient and a lot of fun. We breakfasted in the French Cafe (twice), and dined in the restaurant - both were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. And after all that - we got an extra night free through the overstay program!

The Blackman is a Brilliant venue with great facilities and stunning views. I hired out the Penthouse on Level 18 for a function which was perfect. On arrival the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful making check in quick and easy. The rooms are absolutely amazing, decked out in style with everything you need to make the stay perfect, even with a bottle of bubble waiting for us. The views of Albert park are stunning and offer a perfect view of the sunset to kick start a great evening. All of our guests were very impressed with the space and the over all event and that was all down to The Blackman and its incredibly facilities and staff

I love the art series hotels. It's so nice to be able to stay in room surrounded by beautiful art. However beyond the art, the staff were friendly, the rooms are huge, and having access to a mini kitchen is amazing. You'll love it.

The great quality of the Art Series hotels begins before you walk in the door, escalates as you check-in, and peaks on entering the room. Having stayed many times previously at The Cullen, I was keen to try the Blackman and Olsen options, too. A couple of comments: - the hotel experience gets let down by the restaurant and the attitude of some of their staff.... If that could be improved, you'd have a great product (realising that you may have no control over the Classico) - I like the fact you still do mini bar in the old fashioned way - Good quality options at reasonable prices and not subject to electronic policing! Trust and respect works both ways and you seem to have the right balance. - your staff might smile just a little more ;-). I know that can be hard at times but it is infectious. Overall, I Love what you do, folks - keep doing it! I hope I'll return.

There's something about being surrounded by art that just makes you feel a little bit special of course the big rooms and lovely decor also add to the charm. Really there's nothing not to like about the Blackman.
