We have the amazing Tal Wilkenfeld here on Tuesday March 15th. If you aren't familiar with her she's currently opening for The Who and playing her own headline dates when they have a break here and there. This great article from The Washington Post can fill you in a bit on who she is http://wapo.st/1LeQcNJ and then you can get your tickets at http://bit.ly/1nAmTcZ
An in-demand bass player, Wilkenfeld has been playing on major stages since her early 20s as a member of Chick Corea’s, Herbie Hancock’s and Jeff Beck’s backing bands.

This place is awful. Let's start from the waiting in line experience. I waited in line for 3.5 hours outside in 25 degree weather for them to open the doors, to get a good seat to see Carbon Leaf, which they opened late.(There is so much space they could have let us in 15 minutes early.) After doing all that they give you a number like in a deli line to get in. What they don't tell you is that one person can wait in line for a table of 8! So we got screwed out of good seats. Next is the food: let's be real, anyone who says the food is good here is being payed to write the review. Everything is either out of the can, or frozen. I'm not a foodie but I could get better food from 7-11. This place is stuck in the late 70's. The food, all the decor, the wrapped silverware in plastic serving cups, I even saw the owner in the back room smoking. It's 2016, stop polluting my air. This place isn't charming. It's overpriced and undelivers. They have no idea what it is to create an experience for someone. If Carbon Leaf comes back in '17 I won't be.

Great time. Love coming here. I like an up close and somewhat personal interaction with the artist and that's what your going to get going to the Birchmere. Definitely recommend and the food is decent as well.

Saw "down to the bone" here. Hospitable and comfortable place to lounge and catch an awesome show, bite to eat and a few cocktails. Had so much fun I bought the birchmere t shirt and had a chance to get the band to autograph it after the show!!! A very memorable place for a memorable experience. There's no bad seat in the house.

I loved this venue and really enjoyed the show! The seating capacity is 500, but it is very intimate. I didn't order food, but my table mates really enjoyed theirs.

Due to my lovely wife being under the weather, I took my mother in law with me instead to see Mint Condition on last evening. The concert was great and because we arrived early, we definitely didnt have to wait in line. Pricing was very reasonable for the appetizers and drinks however my only gripe was the cleanliness of the Men's restroom. This is definitely not my first time visiting Birchmere and I give them 4 out of 5 stars......

Celebrating 50 yrs! I frequented there in the 90s, loved it then, love it now (just saw Amy Rey & had a blast)- quaint, special, cozy, great service, fabulous food - only downfall is drinks are too expensive, & too bad they don't give out tap water but charge $2.00 for bottled water instead - other ways to deal w/ economic challenges?

although Birchmere boosts a first class venue it shuts down its food service so early that you cant get food if the group takes a break. Not 1st class

It is a great music hall with wonderful acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house. Only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is the terrible food and beverage. The staff gives good friendly service but it doesnt make up for the nasty unhealthy food and the terrible wine. There are several wine selections but all are bad. I would be willing to pay $20 corkage to bring my own,
