Decent location, walking distance to wonderful Manhattan beach as well as some shopping and eating options. Not too far away from major highways or downtown. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and decently equipped. Gym is adequate at best, but everything else was beyond satisfactory.

The location of the hotel was great and very centrally located to restaurants and shopping, as well as many local businesses. The hotel lobby and meeting areas were nice and well-maintained. However, my room itself wasn't very pleasant. There was a large stain on my carpet from a previous guest that they should have removed, and any noise from outside or above my hotel room could be heard clearly, including when my upstairs neighbor would flush his toilet. The room door would even rattle whenever anyone walked by, so if you're looking for a quiet hotel room, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but just a short drive from LAX. This hotel met my all of my "6 C's" requirements: comfortable (bed and pillows), clean, calm/quiet, courteous (all staff), convenient (walking distance to shopping, beach and restaurants) and cheap (well, relatively cheap, for LA.. I try to stick to the hundred-dollars-a-night hotels but got a $130/ night rate for this one for paying in advance). Free wifi was a good perk. The restaurant in the hotel.serves delicious food and cocktails. Calm outdoor seating area. I definitely recommend it.

Rude people at the front desk. They made the situation very uncomfortable no matter how kind I was. For the price of the hotel, I could've gone ANYWHERE else.

I sent a protest message to The Belamar Hotel general manager for experienced unfriendly as follows, but I have not any received a reply yet !!! I read the reviews that written by others, obviously the hotel there are big problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Mr. Tiffany Lesperance, Happy New Year! I made a New Year's Day had to check out of your hotel for two days past the end of the year. I am now writing to you to protest strongly mail so unkind to the rudeness of your employees. Your staff are Rickey Keeles and the other employees working on the front desk. I say to them apparently spends mail to you a complaint about receiving treatment in a very unfriendly and near blasphemy. My family used two rooms. Place the jacket came out and checked in the hotel room of my daughter. Made over the phone with the hotel staff the next day confirmed that the jacket is there, January 4 had an appointment to go look for the evening. Our family went to the hotel before departure abroad. That was the time 18:30. The front desk staff said that now that person is off work I do not self, you has come back next. I asked that you go to the Lost and Found archive room and try to find one, we don't have wait time. But they repeated the words as a high-handed attitude that you will come back or send it finds. While the long squabble Rickey went to the room has been holding the jacket immediately. And not even been confirmed handed the jacket to me, just as dirty stuff. I think and said hospitality is service business. I'm your customer, so you should not be so unfriendly. For you and your customers I am now writing an e-mail to you. I hope that you take the appropriate action for your business.. I am going to raise this case in SNS. Regards, Richard Lee Ph.D.
