I had a decent stay at the Belamar - the hotel is easy to find, but parking is tight, hence it's valet only, priced at $10 per day. The reception and valet staff are courteous and friendly and the rooms are very nicely decorated in a boutique hotel style. I had one issue where a valet managed to lose my car keys (they were dropped in another car!) but they were found in about 20 mins and the staff were very apologetic and discounted my bill. Overall, I'd stay there again.

Small, boutique hotel ideally located near both malls and beaches. When I checked in early in the morning yesterday, the gentleman at the front desk was less than receptive with his earbuds in, and less than keen to answer questions for a first-time guest, but other than that the grounds seemed well maintained and the rooms clean and comfortable.

Great small hotel in Manhattan Beach. From there outside it doesn't look quite as pleasing, but the inside had been updated. It feels very elegant and beachy. The rooms are not bad either. Valet were very nice.

One of the best hotel experiences! The nicest and most profressional front desk staff and valet. There is a beautiful woodchip trail that is only a 20 min walk that leads to the pier. Lots of restaurants and bars along the way. Starbucks, ice cream, etc. I would definitely stay here again. I can't even come up with a negative experience dyring my stay. Was absolutely fantastic!

I have nothing but good things to say about The Belamar Hotel. We stayed here for 10 nights, booked through Expedia. The hotel itself was clean and well equipped. There is a small but perfectly functional fitness centre which was unoccupied every time we visited, the pool and hot tub is ample for the size of the hotel and if you arrive early you will find it empty for you to enjoy all for yourself. There is a nice peaceful courtyard area to relax in if you want to be outside in the California sun. Once the sun sets they have gas heaters and gas fire pits to keep you feeling warm. The Second Story restaurant is worth a visit in it's own right, even if you aren't staying here. The food is great and the service at the bar couldn't be better either. The lobby sports some funky decor and don't forget to check out the daily rotation of flavoured waters as you pas through. A small addition perhaps, but a nice little touch to make it stand out from every other hotel you have ever stayed in.
