"Launa attack it!" you shout

She throws her sword between the beasts glowing red eyes and charges. Drawing the sword out of the beast she slits it from eyes to chest yet the lichdreki still draws its undying breath.

Gabriel staggers and collapses toward the door less the be allowed to ghouls burst in. He can hold it but a moment.

You pelt the beast with blasts of fire trying to draw its attention. It fails. A lightning blast hits Launa square in the chest and throws her backwards into Gabriel and the door. They are pinned to the door by the beasts lightning. You hear their screams of agony.

Calling on all the strength you have left you increase the amount of fire and undead flesh melts off the dragons backside. It presses the attack against your pinned companions.

"Ahh, damn it all!!!" you shout and leap on the monsters back.

You ring your hands around the monsters neck and ignite your hands. Searing heat pulses from cherry red to orange to yellow to white. You melt the monsters head off at the neck. But not before it's barbed tail finds its way to your backside. The arm length barbs pierce your body.

Blood seeps into your punched lungs as you continue to burn the lichdreki. Soon it is dead. You lay collapsed atop the beast, about to join it. Your last sight before death takes you is that of ghouls breaking through the door and carrying Launa off as tears run down her fair cheeks.

When I was at the theatre, sadly I was faced with a stick my fingers in my ears and shut my eyes; or watch it moment. So now I've finally seen a trailer for The Force Awakens. A film I have been very, very, very, very thorough in avoiding spoiling as much as I can get away with.

Honestly while I don't give two fucks about watching a movie in 3D, I would fucking LOVE to see Star Wars in IMAX + 3D. It just cries out like a thousand voices for that treatment.

Well, I've just had enough popcorn for about five people. And Age of Ultron was good.

After about a full twenty one minutes worth of pre-movie trailers I was left thinking that this is looking to be a very good year for movies, especially this summer. Enough so that I am thinking of going more often but that is a different topic >_>.

Age of Ultron itself is not a perfect movie in the way I would call The Avengers a perfect movie. But should we say that if this is what happens when you almost work Joss Whedon to death on a sequel: it's good stuff.

The humour reminds me of something in a +Piera Coppola thread and I do think it's not as funny as Guardians of the Galaxy. Yet it is also very much in that "I can't believe they said that in a movie" kind of jokery. Great stuff, beep beep!

Watching it in 3D I don't think really adds or subtracts too much from the film, although my tastes are odd since I don't really care about 3D that epically. But I figured what the hell, why not. It's one of those movies I'm gonna see period, may as well go for it. Needless to say you're either gonna like it for super hero action with bits of drama and a sprinkle of humour or you're not.

Me, I'm happy :-). Not tempted to about face and see it again happy (The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy) but very satisfied. I expect it will serve as a "Bridge" of sorts and can't wait to see what comes dome the pike.

Hmm, I wonder how well N-Trig's stuff works.

Microsoft snaps up the technology behind the Surface Pro 3's pen
============================
In love with the Surface pen? You're not the only one. Microsoft confirmed on its Surface blog this morning that it acquired the pen-sensing technology that helps power the Surface Pro 3 from the company that created it, Israeli tech outfit N-trig. If you're the type who pays attention to Israeli business newspapers, this whole thing might not come as a shock - Calcalist reported earlier this year that Microsoft was eyeing N-trig for a full-on acquisition that would see the company's 190 employees folded into the Microsoft mothership at some point. That's not the case anymore, though: We've been able to confirm the folks in Redmond just bought the technology, and not the whole company.

So, aside from a little M&A intrigue to spice up your Friday morning, what does this mean for you? Well, the Surface Pen is one of those bits of the Surface experience that seems totally extraneous at first, and then more-or-less lovely after you've gotten to play with it. It's far from perfect -- N-trig's pen ditched its predecessor's ability to erase stuff by flipping the thing around -- but the purchase signals Microsoft's commitment to making pen input something that could feasibly replace the traditional thumb-punching and finger-poking touchscreens have attuned us too.

It shouldn't be long before we see some of N-trig's tech in action, since Windows 10's launch is just over the horizon and we already know that some new Windows smartphones play nice with pens thanks to a feature called DirectInk. That we'll be able to write on a broad swath of new devices soon was never a question, though there is one loose end we haven't been able to tie up: What's going to happen to the rest of N-trig?

I saw the trailer for Pixels today and I have to say......it's top of my Must See List. Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, and PacMan just make it a sweeter deal.

Introduction
As to myself, well I'm a computer geek that loves coding, eating, learning, and reading; often in combination. Also spent quite a lot of time on movies and video games ^_^.

Pretty much self educated on most things since grade 3'ish and currently working as a programmer. Pretty much fluent in a bunch of languages and if we limit it to just "Programming" languages', I'm able to bring about a dozen of them to bear on a project at will. Throw in other crap like SQL and HTML and we're pushing 20+. I am particularly found of C, Perl, and I don't think I know anyone that knows more about portable /bin/sh scripting than I do....

Coding is enough to me that if I was stranded on an island, I wouldn't write S.O.S. with rocks, I'd make my own assembly language to entertain myself until rescue! Outside of code, I love to read and learn. Especially fond of science fiction and technology and you will often find me memorized in something. Kill a blond with a train by asking a question near train tracks, do same to me by by triggering a think-on lol.

Much of my youth was spent all but walking into people, while trying to figure out crap like how to make mecha (ala Mobile Suit Gundam and MechWarrior) possible. Most of what I know about math comes from that. Games and movies are big interests for me, I've also got a thing for zombies. I also know quite a bit about room clearing and SWAT type stuff. More than a civilian probably has a right to. Got several thousand hours practicing in simulation games as an element and some "Practice" in the real world without live ammunition. It is my belief that once we stop learning, we start dying. Coming from an Italian background, well, let's just say food is in my blood, period!

And I think if anyone parses all this, you're as bad as I am :P

We ordered delivery from this place and I noticed two things: very polite folk and the portion size gets my seal of approval! Having an Italian mother, well, I come from a tradition of filling people well and this place knows how to do that most excellently :-). Vs stuff I've had else where this is more like home made with love & care. Sometime when I'm out that way, I must stop in for lunch. Definitely eating there again!!!!! Disclaimer: don't know there decore as this was delivery. Will try editing it someday when I can visit.

Great (fresh) food, nice service. I haven't tried the pizza yet (yeah, I know) but for everything else, I gotta say, they pack the food nice. Reminds me of my Italian mother :-). If I could go out to lunch everyday, I would live here!

I've been with Dr. Carr since 2009. It's the same great people at Carr Eye Care and Coweta Eye Care. Always have had great service and attentive care here, Dr Carr is also an O.D. that you can have a fine, relaxed time dealing with and someone I trust with my vision quality. He's also very fond of his lovely chihuahua ;) My only complaint is I'm now living over 70 miles away, but I ain't finding a new eye doctor!

They have a large selection of cloths, ranging from ACU and 3-color DCU to older woodland BDUs and solids; including boonie hats in everything! Prices vary from normal to great buys. Only a moderate selection of boots and MOLLE/tactical gear but the prices are excellent for what they do have. It's mostly the smaller things that aren't good buys. It's kind of a small store but it's a good store, for what you can find. People running Bear Paw were also nice enough, that I would come back even if their prices didn't blow away the competition :-).
