Smart move. The best of both worlds: Support Flash where it's needed most, without having it turn Metro into a battery-sucking slug.
Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8 will include a bundled, integrated version of Adobe Flash, and the Metro-style browser will support the use of Flash on a limited number of sites.

If Microsoft pulls Windows 8 off on time, and actually gets mobile adoption, and does significant overhaul to its very tainted image (its like a rusty bolt at this point, needs a good sandblasting), they just might 'win'.
