Terry Mardi was a young British Asian boy who grew up in London in the 1980's who was a victim of racial hatred. He was shot with a hunting pistol at the tender age of 8 years old by members of a gang associated with the BNP (British National Party) and subdivision, National Front, more commonly known as 'Skin Heads'. Since then, he has forgiven and forgotten and spent all of his career championing and launching people in minority groups into the music industry and the media spotlight. Whether its British Asians into the National Pop Charts or taking Asian music to Glastonbury with his own stage to break down barriers and delete stereotypes. Being a prominent founding visionary the UK Asian Music Awards in 2003 and producing the show for ITV1 on British National Television attracting 1.1 million viewers and setting up the British Asian Music Panel with Damon Dash and Jay-Z's Rocafella in London. Terry Mardi has lived media and music passionately for over a decade. For him it's not a job, it's LIFE.
