Seasonal campers, overnight guests and those who fall somewhere in between. How long does your usual camping trip last?

great for kids, way expensive though. $57 with extra person fees (including $5 and some change each for a third kid and third adult). Petting zoo with donkeys, a little fake western town and train rides for kiddos, relaxed, quiet vibe. Ice cream social, free cookies & dog treats when you check in, and a pool. Safe, friendly place.

MY HARLEY BROKE DOWN AND I WAS ON MY OWN LITERALLY. THE STAFF SAW TO MY EVERY NEED, INCLUDING MAKING RUNS TO WALMART FOR ME, SECURING A RENTED TRUCK TO GET HOME TO IDAHO, AND MADE SURE I FELT SAFE AND SECURE. I WAS TENTING FOR SEVEN DAYS AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. PLAN ON RETURNING NEXT YEAR AS PART OF MY TRIP BACK EAST.

KOA TERRE HAUTE,IN ------The park is fine to stay a day or two, but if you are in the area and want to visit with family you need to be prepared to pay up. If you have visitors you have to register and pay a fee before or upon arrival and no refunds if your visitors don't show up. They give you a discount for registering your guest before or at the time of arrival but if you register those guess after you park, fees double. Seniors over 60 $4.00, Adults 18-59 $7.00, Youth 6-17 $9.00, infants and toddlers $2.00 each. Want to swim, more fees, even if you don't swim and just view the kids you still pay $7.00 each. If you rent a motel room, there are no fees for your family or guest to visit. I will never stay here again, ever. The $49.67 is not worth it. If you check out late another $5.00. They talked me right out of any future stays here.

We recently camped at the Terre Haute KOA for a long weekend. Several years ago, we camped there many times and were very happy with the campground and after this year, we will never go back! The fee structure has changed - we had to pay for EACH of our kids over 6 yrs old and the cost of the site was high to begin with. The staff was not overly friendly and there are so many rules the campground obviously doesn't want families with children there. Think twice before you go to this campground!
