This week's Foodie Friday is up! I'm talking Chicago Eats! Check-ity check it!

As many of you may know, I’m constantly stalking Eater, Thrillist, Red Eye Chicago, and 7×7 (to name a few) to see what’s happening in the food and beverage world. While I’m living in SF, I still check out what’s happening in Chicago because it holds a…

#ThoughtfulTuesday: What Exactly Is A Graceful Exit?

My yoga instructor shared this quote during savasana (the final relaxation pose for all my non-yogis) last night and it really stuck with me. What exactly is a graceful exit? I’m sure you’ve all been in a situation before when the universe or your…

A little sneak peek into my weekend! Hope everyone's Monday isn't dragging too much ;)

Happy Monday everyone! I’ve been over-caffeinating today to stay awake – definitely got a case of the Mondays.  I hope you all had a great weekend, mine consisted of a lot of R&R and a little exploring, the perfection balance in my opinion ;-) I’m still…

I've officially lived in San Francisco for 6 months! Photo overload + recap on the blog!

This past week marked six months since I moved to this wonderful city by the bay! It’s been a whirlwind of an adventure and I can’t wait for what’s next. I’m currently sitting here in snowy Illinois reminiscing on the last six months, so I’m going to…

This place is bomb. I love tacos and I stopped in one day for lunch! They have minimal seating but I managed to grab a spot outside to enjoy the (rare) sunny day in SF in July. I highly recommend this place if you're in the areas! Carnitas was my favorite.

West of Pecos was recommended to me by a coworker, so I headed there on a Tuesday night to grab some dinner and drinks. My boyfriend and I both had a spicy margarita - mine with mezcal (Mohave) and his with just tequila (la flama verde). Both were delicious! We also had the queso dip with chorizo to start. For our main corse we had puffy tacos, one crispy carnitas and one bbq beef brisket. I preferred the carnitas! We also had fish tacos which were pretty good. I love the vibe of this restaurant and I will definitely come back!

Was in the Potrero/Dogpatch area for work and stopped by Just For You Cafe for lunch with a coworker! The staff was incredibly friendly and definitely made for a wonderful dining experience. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich (pictured) and my coworker had the crab poboy. Both were excellent! I didn't get a chance to try the beignets but heard they were awesome!

I went here on a Sunday with a few other people and it was perfect for the gloomy SF weather. We were all craving a little bit of comfort food, and what better for that than some warm curry dishes? Anyways, we started off with some jasmine and ginger tea to start. Both were fantastic! For my main course - I had the Gai Pad Med Ma-Muang (I think that's what it was called!). I loved my dish! Perfect amount of spice. Two other people in my group got the Panang Curry, which definitely gave me food envy! I have to get that the next time I go to King's. The last person in our group got Thai fried rice which was great as well. Overall, all of the food was incredibly fresh and colorful. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying, I totally understand what the hype is about. With that being said - I already feel like sushi on it's own is a lot in one bite. I got the Salmon Samba because I was hesitant about all of the raw fish in the other options. The flavor was spot on but incredibly filling. I could've had half of a sushiritto and been satisfied. Overall, I'm glad I tried it but wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

This place is alright - a little overpriced but that's expected for the location. The entrance is an alleyway with outdoor seating. The inside has a rustic theme. Water is served in mason jars - very southern feel to everything. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich which was yummy! Garlic fries were bomb as well

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Let me repeat that again - don't be afraid of this place because of its "food court" setting. Bibim Bar is legit the bomb dot com. This is right down the street from my office so I tend to find myself here more often than I'd like to admit but it's totally worth it! I typically get a regular bowl with brown rice, all of the veggies, chicken, bulgogi, or spicy pork belly for a protein, kimchi, and medium spicy sauce. Every different combination I've tried has been amazing. I highly recommend this place!
