We lost several homes during the great recession. They were demolished. This home wasn't demolished but is moving to the empty lot that used to belong to a home that was demolished during the housing market crash. I had to do a lot of research because the property has been taken off the tax roles

When I look at interest rates I like to look at the big picture. I do remember when interest rates were in the double digits and the last time my family had a mortgage the rate was 7%. Our highest interest rate for a mortgage was 8.38. Rates have gone up almost half a percent from a low of 3.59%

Kitty in the window This cat was watching me as I rode past on my bike. It lives in an apartment building in downtown St. Paul. Pets are allowed in most of the downtown condos and apartment buildings. I don't have any numbers but there are a lot of dogs living downtown. I see them in the parks and

The population of downtown is growing - - probably because it is a great place to live.
If I were in Minneapolis I could just write the word downtown but if I am writing about downtown St. Paul I must specify. Living in downtown St. Paul is a thing even for people with pets and children. Renting a place downtown to try it out is also a popular option. Sometimes people with children

It is Friday and Fridays are for fun. I know I should not make fun of my neighbors but there is a family living close by that I like to call "The Louds". They do not have indoor voices. I know all of their names of their pets and of their friends and their children because they talk so loudly. I

Historic Saint Paul Home
202 McBoal street This is one of the little stone houses in St. Paul.  The Martin Weber house at 202 McBoal street was built in 1867, which makes it one of the older houses in St. Paul but not the oldest on the block. It sits on the limestone river bluff and it is likely that the stone used to

Story
Introduction
I live in St. Paul, Minnesota and I sell real estate, I write on a few blogs and I take pictures, lots of pictures. I guess I try to show people what St. Paul looks like through my eyes. I have a sense of humor, and sometimes it just kind of sneaks out onto the internet and gets me in trouble.
