. Though with such a strong foothold in the desktop market, there will always be a chance to break the tablet market too.
If I was a Microsoft decision maker, I'd try and convince B2B circles that #Windows8
is the right choice for their business. Push towards mobile working, powerful tablets and the like - much like Blackberry did a few years ago.
You're right too, Apple have worked wonders with the iPad and let's not forget Samsung in all of this. But with hardware constantly "needing" to be updated, there will always be a new best thing and whether that's the iPad 5/6/7, the New Galaxy Note or rehashed Surface RT, Microsoft stand at least a chance of breaking that market each time it refreshes.
