I wonder how much expansion force this new tech can generate. It may be used to break into the vehicle for a firefighter to rescue people. Or it can help to lift a heavy object. Obviously, it's not reversible once the object is crushed.

#StartupMustDo #18 - Go Beyond Your Limit

What have you done in the past 2 weeks to move forward on your startup journey?

Time goes by. I've been away from this #Startup #Entrepreneurship Collection for two weeks.

There are few things I have done in the last two weeks. I've learned few new things and accomplish more in 2 weeks.

1. Add Free SSL certification to all my self-host sites on WHM/Cpanel VPS and automate the renewal process.
https://plus.google.com/+TerenceChang/posts/LftQE3qK7q6

2. Signed several consulting contracts using Adobe Acrobat/PDF Sign. This is a perfect case of money well spent. I paid around $200/year to subscribe the Acrobat Sign service. I was able to have clients signed the contract over email in less than 30 minutes. That generates 50x revenue in return on what I paid for Acrobat Sign the subscription.

3. I also upgrade my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription to get full access to all desktop apps. I started using Adobe Muse to build static websites. It allows me to quickly put up a website, instead of going through WordPress installation, configuration, update content and many more hassle. And Static Website runs FAST! This is part of my on-going project to build sites for #PassiveIncome project. You can follow me there @ http://bit.ly/PassiveIncomeLifestyle

4. The last challenge I have is to create the prototype of my new mobile app with Adobe PhoneGap Build program. So I can test out the idea.

Free SSL that saved me $1580 a year!

Google now consider #SSL (https://) certification a ranking factor. So paying $69+ for the SSL for 20+ of my domains every year is really a pain in the neck. I am glad that there is a non-profit organization called Let's Encrypt - https://letsencrypt.org/ that offer free SSL.

The problem is that the FREE SSL will expire every 90 days. So reinstall it every 90 days is not going to be an easy job for 20+ domains.

Luckily, I am running the latest version of #WHM / CPanel software on my server. With the following instruction, I can automate the reissues SSL problem.

Now all my domain are using the FREE SSL. That saved me money too.

Guess who you might talk with if you answer your damn phone?

I've known this #Hot #Girl for sometimes, but I have never thought about been the lucky one to get a call from her cell phone.

I kept reminding myself to pick up the business phone no matter how late it is. Missing a hot lead is like missing the biggest opportunity in your life.

I did simply answer the call. And there is a warm #beautiful voice from the other end. Now I have business to do with this young hot #startup #entrepreneur ~ #LarissaReis

https://www.facebook.com/LarissaReisInc/

So! Answer your damn phone!
#StartupMustDo #14 - Answer The Phone & Follow Through

This is an important lesson I've learned in the past. I am a part-time Google Certified Street View photographer @ +OUTography Business Photography. I often got calls from potential customers looking for services in my areas.

Google official for-hire listing is sorted by first name, so I am pretty much at the bottom of the list. However, I still getting calls from people who called many on the list ahead of me. I was able to close the deals 8 out of 10 calls. It's funny that I am actually the first one answer their calls, while other photographers just ignored the calls.

So it's important to answer any call and follow through with those good leads.

In the new year with my new 100 Day Challenge Round #4, I am going to close more deals. It's nice to work only part-time and getting full time pay.

One of the best view at the beautiful #Japanese #garden. Some day soon I will be able to see the garden from the top #penthouse.

Life is good when you can see, hear, touch the nature and have #money left in the bank to do those.

#StartUpMustDo #17 - Track ROI from day 1

Breaking up your startup company with your partners is really hard. I've closed two companies in the past because of the uneven distribution of profit and duty after all.

I recently had a new idea to help a friend who is also currently a partner on a passive income project. Well. He really likes the new idea and would love to approach.

However, he has never considered and evaluated the time and labor spent on the software development. So when he ask to join venture and asking 50% of the revenue, it has become a deal breaker. Glad that we haven't even started the company yet.

If you are starting a new startup company, you'd better start tracking your time and financial investment on your project from day 1. #Money is also often the #1 reason to make a relationship go sour. So a fair #ROI tracking is very important.

You not only protect your own interest, but also build up your company asset for future company evaluation.

Don't Give Client Excuses Not To Pay & Boost Your Profit w/ CloverGo

I've been busy and growing my business. What are you doing lately?

If you are someone like me doing independent consulting part-time, you should not give your client any excuse not to pay you immediately. It's time-consuming and much more hassle to ask for money later. I always ask for 50% or 100% up front.

The best way is to have the client sign the contract on the spot using GetSignEasy.com mobile app and accept credit card payment on a mobile phone. Many of you are using a Square mobile card reader. It is fine until you grow bigger.

For those who use Square card reader in the USA, you should calculate your profit.

Square is pretty convenient, but you will start suffering the burden when your volume goes up.

When you start processing over five figures on Square, you either pay 2.75% of swiped or 3.5% for keyed. That can cost you a fortune. Consider that you can lower your credit card processing fee down to 1.8% or even lower depends on your business type and volume. The rate is calculated after all monthly fee, gateway fee, and interchange rate for my business.

So I am happy that I've switched to #CloverGo which is backed by +Moneck Payment Solutions an ISO of #FirstData.

Visit http://Moneck.com to check out their merchant solutions.

I also order the newest wireless / Bluetooth / contactless EMV card reader, so I can quickly charge my client's credit card.

One thing I really hate about Square is their billing. Square deduct your fee before sending you the money. This has caused me a huge headache on #Bookkeeping.

With CloverGo, I can choose to charge fee monthly instead of daily. That is big time saving.
