On today's walk, I happened to pass by the memorial for the shooting, on a corner by Aurora Century 16. I decided I ought to take a few pictures because of the relevance and locality. It was a bit unfortunate that most things there have become a little muddy, but they're not going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think that field has any planned purpose, which is why it's been completely uncared for, but local wildlife likes these squares so it works out.
There was one candle way out in the middle of the sidewalk. At first I passed by it normally, but I regretted how "trashy" it looked in such a spot, relative to the intentions of those who placed it, so I had to turn around and pick it up, place it a bit more appropriately.
The 4th picture here is taken from Wikipedia, so you can have a panoramic comparison (uploaded by Algr under CC-BY-SA).
And the last photo is unrelated, but in the same segment. Prairie dogs being as cute as ever, so might as well snap that too. They're a common sight, but gotta share what I can of them anyway.
