Stop by my blog for some of the top myths about diet, fat burning, exercise and fat-burning supplements as well. http://ow.ly/P7BGS
When it comes to burning fat, if we are diligent about diet and exercise we are often able to shape and sculpt our bodies—and feel good about ourselves in the process. We’ve been conditioned to believe, however, that this should happen quickly, and with as little effort as possible.

Dr. Lawton is a wonderful surgeon. I received a breast augmentation from her with Allergans new shaped 410 implants and I LOVE my results. They look very natural and there was barely any downtime. I was back to work four days later and no one could even tell. The staff is great but mostly I loved the time Dr. Lawton spent with me. I felt that as a woman she truly understood what I wanted. I would definitely refer her to friends and family.

Dr. Lawton is an incredible women and even more so an incredible plastic surgeon! She listened when no other doctor would give me the time of day! Three years ago, at 20 years old, I went and saw a male plastic surgeon in Newport Beach, O.C. for breast augmentation. I was told he was the best of the best. After a few years of saving up the money for the surgery, having been born fairly small chested, i was finally able to get the surgery I had been dreaming about for so many years. Being 5'8" and fairly voluptuous the purpose of my surgery was to balance out my curves, create some proportion. Less than two weeks after my initial surgery (with this first male plastic surgeon) having following their instruction to a tee, I woke up with my whole right breast inflamed. I couldn't sit up, I could barely move. After being rushed back to the surgeon, followed by sent to an infectious disease doctor, THEN to the ER where i was immediately connected to an IV and pumped my body with antibiotics for hours. I later had a second emergency surgery to remove the implant of my right breast as the breast pocket was "contaminated" due to Staph and replace it with a new one. I woke up with one implant in (450 cc's) and the other out. I was a D on my left breast and an A on my right. I found out i was borderline septic, and had a portable intravenous in my arm for 6 weeks, having to visit the hospital twice a day to receive my antibiotics. I was told they could not perform another surgery until they were shown a minimum of 6 months of no sign of infection, but as a extra precaution he told me to return in 12 months. 12 MONTHS! An entire year! That there was nothing else he could do and i was solely at fault for this. In a complete uproar I was determined to go find someone, anyone who could help me. I was 20 years old, at the time living in Orange County with one breast a 'D' and one an 'A' told to go to a prosthesis store for breast cancer survivors....Which is exactly what I did! For another 3 months I wore under my shirts a fake breast, a prosthesis. I spoke to 5 surgeons, all the way from Beverly Hills to the OC. to Malibu desperate to find someone to help save me from this misery. And I did finally, I found Dr. Lawton. She examined me once and without any hesitation said "yes" she would help me. Dr. Lawton heard briefly of my story that only a few years earlier I had managed to overcome a serious eating disorder and this physical state i was in was triggering for me. She was incredibly sympathetic, and yet showed me strength at the same time. Her and her staff made me feel so welcome, provided with me the reassurance I needed, that everything was going to be okay. She went beyond the norm or what was expected each and every time, to ensure I felt at ease. The day of the surgery she walked in calm as could every could be. The surgery center was immaculate. I woke up after with her and my father right beside me, everything went perfect. I continued to see Dr. Lawton for all my follow-ups having never run into any problems!! I since have moved back to Canada, but still to this day could never forget the gift Dr. Lawton gave me. She made me feel beautiful about myself. She gave me a chance, took a risk on me, when no other doctor would. I wish she practiced here, but i will never forget her kindness and will forever remain a loyal client of hers. I am a perfectionist, and she is the perfect surgeon.

8 weeks ago I underwent surgery. Don't worry I'm fine...it was elective. I decided to make it public because I know I'm not alone. After 2 pregnancies my body took a toll (don't get me wrong my girls were worth it) I just decided it was time to do something for me. The past few months I focused on losing any and all lingering baby weight.(who am I kidding...my baby is 3) I consulted with my surgeon, boss and friend Dr. Tenley Lawton and together we came up with a plan. She agreed to a mommy makeover if I agreed to get to my goal weight. Deal or no deal was her exact words. I knew this was the only way to achieve the best results. With a lot of determination and support I dropped 27lbs. When I told my family the plan they were supportive but couldn't understand why I still wanted to have surgery after achieving my weight loss goal. When your 4'11, 27lbs lighter and sit down there is nothing sexy about rolls upon rolls of lose skin hanging over your pants and any mom that has nursed knows what happens to your breasts...not to mention breasts that have already been reduced once. When I looked in the mirror I still saw me 27lbs heavier and unattractive. I have seen so many success stories and happy mommies over the years working in this industry. I knew I was ready for this...something I've wanted for a long time and I knew Dr. Lawton was the one to make it happen. I have always said I could never do my job if I didn't believe in the surgeon I work for but to allow someone to operate on you takes this to a new level. I have never felt more confident in a decision. Her skills, expertise and bed side manner put any fear I might have had to ease and I was just excited. She took the time to meet with my husband to help him understand the procedure and answers all his questions. She made the surgery make sense to him and he was finally on board. We should all be so lucky to work for someone that cares about their employees and patients they way Dr. Lawton dose. She touches so many life’s on a daily bases and like the rest of her patients I am forever grateful to her for believing in me, pushing me to be the very best I can be and teaching me anything is achievable if you believe in yourself. Not everyone believes in plastic surgery but I'm here to tell you if it's used for the right reasons and at the right time in one’s life it's so worth it! We all deserve to feel amazing.

I met Dr. Lawton in November when my breast implant ruptured. I was traumatized! I had one full breast and one completely deflated one. When I first met with her she made me feel so comfortable and I didn't feel as badly about my appearance. I know that sounds dramatic but when you have had 32DD's for 10 years solid and then you are left with one, it is a bit unnerving. Ladies, when you are going in for breast augmentation ask yourself why wouldn't you go to a woman? I know, plastic surgeons read the same books but women know what it feels like to have breasts and to workout with them. BIG DIFFERENCE! When I first had my augment done 10 years ago, I had several problems. The biggest one was the capsular contraction on my left side and the fact that my left breast never completely dropped into the pocket after the contraction was fixed. Of course that is the one that ruptured. When Dr. Lawton went in she noticed my pectoral muscle was bilaterally disected. She fixed it!!!!! My augment with a mini lift cost me less than the first time 10 years ago and they look and feel sooooo much better. Dr. Lawton not only gave me AMAZING silicon breasts but she gave me a mini lift. They look amazing!!!! When I went for my first follow up I told her if I could raise my arms up I would have high fived her! I also told her if I didn't have a 6 year old I would wear my breasts out like a pair of earrings. Last year my husband bought me an american flag bikini with a vitamin A style top. I had to return it because my breasts were lopsided and just didn't look good in it. I just bought a very similar swimsuit the other day and my breasts look AMAZING! did I already say that? Well facts are facts! I highly recommend Dr. Lawton. Her skill, care and bedside manner are top shelf!

Just had to write and say what a wonderful experience my surgery was with Dr. Lawton. Aging is no fun and when the mirror tells you everyday it makes you think of options. Not knowing what my options were, I did some research. I have a dear friend who had surgery here and asked her what she thought about her experience. i respect her opinion {and she looked fabulous!}. When i had the consultation with Dr. Lawton i felt completely at ease and knew i would get the "natural" results i was after. She was kind and spent all the time answering my questions that i needed. I never felt rushed or that my questions were silly. Now the procedure is done and i am a happy gal….hubby was supportive and now he says wow! I can't say how thrilled i am that i chose Dr Lawton and i will be referring her to all of my jealous friends :)

I don't think I have ever felt this taken care of by a physician. I knew I was in very good hands at my initial consultation before my double mastectomy. She explained the process completely and thoroughly, and treated me with true respect. My surgeries were not without complications, and she was attentive to all my concerns, ensuring me the best results possible (I did not know I was going to have to have radiation as well as chemo). She was able to do wonders with my skin with the least invasive procedures. I saw my Oncologist today and he said they look great, asking if Dr. Lawton had done the reconstruction. My mother is now thinking of having her reconstruction done, and if she decides to move forward with it, Dr. Lawton is her choice despite living in San Diego. She praises Dr. Lawton frequently. And Dr. Lawton's wonderful bedside manner is reflected in each and every one of her staff. They are all just as attentive and professional as Dr. Lawton is. After almost 18-months of treatments, I was so worn out that when it was time to decide on my final reconstruction, I let her guide me to the decision best for me. Because by that time she had gotten to know me and my lifestyle and work demands. Thank you Dr. Lawton & Staff for your help in my cancer battle! I no longer feel like a patient anymore.

My oncologist referred me to Dr. Lawton for a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Dr. Lawton was extremely supportive - available by phone 24/7 for questions or concerns, and she was always putting my mind at ease. She seems to have a passion for helping women build their self-esteem and achieve their goals. I put myself completely in her capable hands, and have no regrets. And I was amazed by how quickly the incision scars disappeared. The office staff, Denise, Erin and Michelle, was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They were efficient and flexible with scheduling, and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend Dr. Lawton to anyone who is interested in quality medical care in a very friendly office atmosphere. Thanks to all for making this difficult medical situation as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Lawton is a perfectionist, a "Rembrandt". She did in one try what my previous surgeon couldn't do in 4 tries. I finally have my body, my life, and my self esteem restored. Thank you for being caring, calm, reassuring. You're the best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
