When in Val D'or, one must visit this place. Fantastic craft beer selection made on premise, with a lot of history and detail in each brew crafted.

Very new and modern... and clean. Nothing to complain about, that's for sure. If you've ever stayed at other Hampton Inns, this one is almost the same. I say almost, because they don't offer hot cookies here like other Hampton Inns. That's definitely a bummer.

It is definitely a two-star hotel. Thankfully, I didn't come home with bugs. I saw some leftovers on the carpet, some of it had hair, some didn't. I didn't ask. None in the bed though... so there's a half-star. Evelyn at the front pretty much runs the place 24-7, and she's pretty nice. Breakfast is phenomenally terrible. Save yourself and go anywhere else. There's a food-bank nearby if you're that hard up. The "gym" is a closet with broken-down everything. The neighbouring hotel harbours crack fiends where even the homeless dare not go.

Great, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well put together. The hallway carpets are a little threadbare, but perhaps that's due to the hotel's popularity. The rooms themselves did not exhibit the same wear and tear. I would give the hotel four stars, except it lacks a pool and sauna, and that should almost be a prerequisite these days.

It's a bit of an older hotel, with dated decor and bathroom hardware. I guess one could call it functional. The listed sticker price they ask is quite unjustifyable -- but f you're getting a corporate discount or some such thing, it isn't too bad. The furnature has a lot of scratches, dings and dents, but the bedding is white and smells a hint of bleach -- a good thing? I guess it is, if it means no bugs.
