You can understand how such a system would work perfectly with automatic gearboxes but manual, I think is clever.

OK so it has limitations as it can't actually change gears for itself, but working within the scope and range of the car's physical limitations, it's great! Engage it at the speed you fancy when you get there, and there it stays. Unless you're heading downhill when gravity takes command, so one of the advantages of an automatic.

I use it all the time, mainly to avoid speeding tickets, and would now really miss it. And this car, though fairly high up in the range, is now 10yrs old.

Smart stuff, I say!
