What's the score with cafe sugar out in open pots on tables like this?
Out for drinkies today, we discussed and were surprised it was allowed these days with likely sneezing and kids fiddling with fingers.
I guess it's no worse than bowls of nuts on pub bars, but we'd have thought it was not allowed.
Any thoughts or knowledge of rules, EHO etc?
What about marmalade/jam served in pots to customers? Allowed to re-serve remainder? Throw after every use?
Guess this is why cafe owners switch to sealed packets of everything and use wooden single-use so-called spoons.
