I believed +CyanogenMod when they said that updates for the +OnePlus would come within 3 months after the AOSP release. Maybe stop bickering in the tech press and get it done already, eh?
The OnePlus One Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been delayed, and won't be arriving in February. Find out all of the latest OnePlus One update news here.

I was a lot more understanding when cyanogen was a scrappy open source project. Now that they're valued in the billions and installed by default on production phones, they can't just guarantee a 90 day turnaround and then flake out. Hire a few more engineers and effing make it happen already.

When a friend posted a photograph of charity worker Lindsey Stone on Facebook, she never dreamed she would lose her job and her reputation. Two years on, could she get her life back?

If You Think Student Debt Situation Is Improving, Look At Data And Think Again http://ow.ly/JE8Sp new post based on recent NYFed data

What might be the most surprising finding, however, is that students with lower balances have the most difficulty repaying their loans. Let that sink in.
By: Phil Hill One of the most frustrating memes last year originated with the faulty Brookings Institution report on student debt that claimed: Ultimately, Akers and Chingos conclude that typical borrowers are no worse off now than they were a generation ago, and also suggest that the borrowers struggling with high debt loads frequently featured in media coverage may not be part of a new or growing phenomenon. Following this analysis, the nationa...

You can think of BitTorrent Sync as “Dropbox without the Cloud”. Not to be confused with the underlying technology of BitTorrent, this is a way of keeping a folder and files sync’d across multiple computers, but unlike Dropbox, your files are never stored…

Vendor lock-in? Fahgettaboutit! »» The Great K-Cup Backlash: What Every Tech Company Should Learn - http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/great-k-cup-backlash-every-tech-company-learn/ #edtech #DRM
When it comes to modern technological conveniences, there are a number of things that irritate people above all others: unhelpful error messages, dead batteries, and cumbersome digital rights management (DRM). A company that puts DRM in place on their products is very clearly telling consumers that their freedoms will be sacrificed so that corporate execs can…

Exploring intersections between Web 2.0, digital arts, and education.
Introduction
Ted Curran is an education technology polymath with broad experience in instructional design, classroom instruction, multimedia production, social media, and interpersonal communication. He aims to combine these passions towards the ultimate goal of empowering students and teachers to improve instruction through technology.
Ted has just accepted an Instructional Technologist position in Research and Development for Pearson Education’s Emerging Models division.
Ted’s lengthening resume in outcomes-aligned, project-based learning has spanned from teaching Digital Media Arts and English Language Arts in charter high schools (notably with Envision Schools) to training and supporting instructors’ use of technology and pedagogy at Samuel Merritt University. Ted also actively blogs on topics of education technology at TedCurran.net, sharing tips, tricks, and lifehacks for online educators. Before focusing on education, Ted worked in post production and content research for Paramount Domestic Television and other TV production houses in Hollywood.
In his free time he produces web design and photography as TrueSchool Creative, consults with education-focused institutions (notably Kochi University in Japan), and writes about education technology here at TedCurran.net. Ted is also a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and pusher of the limits of digital arts and communication. Ted lives in the city of Oakland with his beautiful wife, dog, and bird– and wouldn’t have it any other way.
