Wow, he is not the only one who does this.  Sometime they just get to big
It's true. Thinking about competition is silly, do what you're good at and do what you think its best for the company. Look at Facebook, they keep thinking about others, it's going nowhere. They wanted to copy Google+ Hangout with the Skype integration, we all know how that went. They wanted to copy Yelp/Google Places with Facebook Places, that went well *cough*. They wanted to copy Yahoo Answers with Facebook Answers, where's that? etc etc. you get the point. - But you have to hand it to Google and Larry. Google is probably the only innovating company out there. It feels good to be on the winning side. 
Larry knows. Don't you wonder what he was talking to North Korea about? Sure pissed off the State Department!
I wish they would at least think about competence, especially when it comes to Motorola.
