IS GREEN TEA TOO BITTER FOR YOU? WE HAVE A SOLUTION

Some green teas, like for example Sencha, Gunpowder or even Jasmine Green tea can be a bit overwhelming with the bitter flavour. It is particularly noticeable if it’s steeped either in high temperature or for longer time.

However, there is method that will ensure the infusion will lack the the bitter notes and the tea’s aroma is allowed to develop and unfold completely.

It is called Cold Dripper. For more information, please go to out blog.

THE TEA REVOLUTION

National Tea report for 2016 is out and it is (not) surprising…

Tea remains a national treasure, and is the most consumed drink in the UK. From a cup of tea over the Sunday papers in a local café, to a strong brew to kick-start the working day, tea is now a key driver of the hot beverage category out of home, with year-on-year occasion growth doubling from 1.6% to 3.6% during 2016.

TEA PLANTATIONS IN SCOTLAND ON THE RISE

Cornwall set the example: tea shrubs thrive on the British Isles. The climatically cooler North is now following suit. The first tea plantation was opened in Scotland in 2011; to date there are already 15 plantations in the land of the green hills and this number should redouble by the end of 2017. Constant rain and acidic soil provide optimal conditions.
