Studying the new rules is a breeze with our handy pocket-sized rule books! The latest edition is now available in the WFTDA online store.

(The updated iOS app and the new Android app are scheduled to be  released later this month. Stay tuned!)
The pocket-sized WFTDA Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby Handbook includes the rules for flat track roller derby, as regulated by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association. This edition features the rules adopted March 1, 2014. Bonus appendices include the track layout and referee hand signals.

Sometimes the longest 5 minutes can be when you are aiming to get 27 laps in that time

"Five minutes. Doesn’t sound like a long time.

That is until you have to skate 27 laps of a roller derby track within that time. Then 5 minutes feels like unending, lung burning torture....."

A short & sweaty workout for Roller Derby to help you reach your 27 laps in 5 minutes!

Some really neat history!
Yes.......more on that later. My father was very patriotic.  He was too young for World War I and too old for World War II.  But he did all he could for the War effort.  Before the 2nd World War Ro...

Team Scotland are happy to announce our new logo (it's not the unicorn we originally envisaged, but we love this one even more!).

I can relate to so much of this as an introvert, and as someone who plays roller derby.  I struggle with the unique challenges that being an introvert in derby entails, but this article sums up a lot of the good stuff.  Thanks!
I love people. I love watching them. I love listening to them (when they know I am listening and when they don't). I don't really love interacting with them though. As much I love being a part of social situations, I don't re...

The Scottish National Roller Derby Team
Introduction

Since the very first Scottish roller derby league was set up 6.5 years ago, the sport has exploded across the country with leagues now skating in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Forth Valley, Perth, Inverness and Aberdeen, and even in Shetland. (With more all the time)

Team Scotland is the National Roller Derby team of Scotland, skating on a Flat Track (check out WFTDA - Womans Flat Track  derby Association)

The original line-up, who competed at the 2011 Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup, in Montreal, was made up of skaters from leagues across the country.

Planning is now underway, under guidance from UKRDA, for the Team Scotland team going forward to the 2014 World Cup, to be held in Dallas, Texas
