Do you use children's work sample as assessment documentation? Our newest blog post shows work samples from children of different ages and discusses what those samples show about children's development and learning. And there's also a great poem written by a 6-year-old boy. Definitely worth a read!

Our new blog post is about doing art with mobile infants and with toddlers. It includes instructions for fun activities and a recipe for cloud dough. To be honest, I'd love to be doing some of those activities right now! Finger painting with shaving cream, anyone?

Teaching Strategies GOLD online has a new feature which we think will be a huge help to teachers working on their weekly plans. If your a GOLD online user who creates her own weekly plans outside of the GOLD system, you can now upload these plans to GOLD in Microsoft Word, PDF, and Excel formats. And these plans can be submitted to your administrator and shared with families, just like the Weekly Planning Forms generated by GOLD. Sign in to your GOLD account for more info.

It's been a few months since our online forum, Teaching Strategies Community, got up and running. Since then, Community members have posted and responded to around 80 discussions, about everything from assessment to behavior issues to technology in the classroom. We've been most excited to see members jumping in to answer each others questions and give advice and about Teaching Strategies experts and authors answering Community questions. We invite everyone to join us in the Community. Visit our Community Web page for more info about joining the conversation. Hope to see you online!
