"It will be different from other Android phones because it will guarantee timely software updates, including security updates, for two years from sale date."
Google is expanding its “Android One” program for low-cost smartphones to the U.S in coming months, promising phone makers major new promotional dollars if they play by its rules, say three people briefed on the plan. The first phone to launch in the U.S. with Google’s Android One seal of ...

+John Heckendorn yup, same problem affects the other TV devices that run modified versions of mobile Android (to a lesser degree). Many developers have their apps filtered out of the Play Store if your device doesn't have a touch screen even though the apps would work perfectly with a mouse.

Looks like Mate 9 is going to retail for $599 in the US, and come with a few surprises. Maybe there will be a cheaper version with Amazon ads?
Following Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 debacle, Huawei looks to please "phablet" smartphone fans with the Mate 9 in the US.

Honor 6X is a good looking budget phone, but it's launching with old software and priced around what you can get the Honor 8 for on sale. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not seeing any reasons to suggest this over the Honor 8.
With a trendy dual rear camera setup in tow, 3 or 4GB RAM, at least 32GB internal storage, and a Kirin 655 SoC, the Honor 6X starts at $250 stateside.

+Taylor Wimberly well that is true. I have the 2 lines of 6 GB each for $80 and I just added my parents with the 2 free lines deal. Now it's going to be $100 AFTER taxes and fees. Not bad at all.

Really impressed with the HTC U Ultra. The back is so shiny and a fingerprint magnet, but I think it looks great in the light. Blue was my favorite color.

Every week I am reminded why Amazon is the best place to shop online. I was already a satisfied Amazon Rewards customer, and it just got even better. They also extend warranties of most devices by a year, but I have yet to test that out.

I don't know how useful eye tracking would be, but I love to see an established OEM take a risk with a crazy idea like this. I tried a similar idea at Huawei and had meetings with Indiegogo and Kickstarter, but it got killed hah.
The feature voted on by you! Scroll through pages based on your eye movement and stick the phone to the wall to be hands free.
