Those rocks getting covered by algae looks really great. They have this very natural feel :)

Just got a group of threadfin (featherfin) rainbow fish and  have high hopes for them in a smaller community tank of neons. The tank is a few years mature (and planted of course) so I think they should do okay but information isnt too strong on them, so I was wondering if people had experience with them?

These are captive bred from gunpowder aquatics. high hopes!

I have never tried breeding them, but in my opinion they are easy to care for. Just make sure you do small weekly water changes. But you probably already know that. These fish are some of the best i have ever owned.  :)

nothing stopping this cyano!  so ive been manually removing, tried waterchanges, dosing oxyetheline, increasing flow and adding o2 to suffocate it but nothing!  just nothing stopping it! tears out hair  any ideas? or fullproofs?  The plants grow just fine but i just dont get it!

Yea i had a bad outbreak of that looking stuff and I bought a spray bottle poured H2O2 in it and just went in and sprayed the plants in the water, several sprays where the cyano was present and worked like magic. I did manually remove as much as possible prior to doing this. I took the attachment off of gravel vac line and just used the hose...but I had bad cyano on my substrate at the time so that worked best for removal there. Good luck.

Forgot to post for water change wednesday and now I'm thinking I should keep the waters sprite. Though I'm tempted to plant something else that grows less tall. It requires a constant amount of trimming and as a fern it doesn't seem to appreciate that.

While the setting inside is nice, they try not to return security deposits, and when it does make it to you, they have outrageous charges for things that do not exist AND the check is wrong even by their "calculations" They have bogus charges for normal wear and tear in my apartment like "picture hanging nails" and "chipped paint" which is illegal to claim in the city of baltimore. I have had to take them to small claims court to sue for my money back and they have done nothing but be rude and aggressive with me when I am trying to be nice. This place clutters, doesnt appreciate the residents changes terms for your lease and tries to get away with things. You are better finding a place on craigslist and avoiding their backhanded, snide and down right mean actions.

I started going to sprout because they understand how to deal with different hair types. my only comment would be that you really have to tell them NOT too short. I like my hair cut like a boy cut, but when trimming they can get a little happy hah. I recommend them to everyone

A- do not ever buy their fish. They have very questionable practices and they are not healthy. BUT they have an AWESOME selection of aquarium set up stuff, co2, woods, gravel, reptile gear. So for what they lack in animals and animal quality they have in overall gear. (and sales!)

I JUST went there today for their OBGYN services. THEY LIED to me on the phone and they DO NOT provide IUD support and care. They require that you order your own IUD and do not provide them or the care for them. They also will lecture you about your choices of birthcontrol. I repeatedly asked them over the phone if they provided IUD care and they said yes, I wasted my whole morning being lectured and lied to. Waste of time religious institution with stone age conceptions about women's health. No thank you.

The fish are sick, the reptiles are poorly cared for or dead, their selection is overpriced, and they sell hot rocks.. a death sentence for reptiles.... Not worth the visit sadly unless you are looking for cheap live feeder mice

I keep a lot of fish and reptiles, and while ive never gotten reptiles from them (and i recommend everyone go to a breeder instead) their fish are amazing. They very very often have wide varieties and very healthy animals. I have only had one fish out of 30+ from there give me issues and it wasn't related to the pet store. Overall, very nice, and if you know what you are looking for they usually have it. Though their stock of aquarium decor is lacking.
