Yay for snow! Maybe there will be a white Chrismas after all...

Please keep in mind both Taste of Asia and Taste of China use little sedans and/or Prius's to do delivery. If your home is on a hill or on a road that is difficult to get to, we might have to cancel your order otherwise we won't make it out! Some of our drivers reside in Portland and cannot make it to work today therefore your delivery will take longer.

We apologize for any inconveniences but we are doing our best to be open and to serve you!

football season is already here.  We love pizza and wings as well.  But ordering some Chinese food for delivery can spice up the game.  Now, when you order from our website, you will get 2% back.

We usually have a great experience with TOA. Delivery is fast, no mistakes, and it's delicious and hot! Our last order was a major turnaround, however. We usually order online, perhaps this was the reason, but- we placed phone order for delivery-530 p.m. after one hour, called back (630 pm) to see if something was wrong, was told that we would be getting our order soon, after another 30 min (7 pm!), had to phone and cancel- kids already snacking, and had just given up. Would have been nice for someone to say what happened, or even just warn us if they were backed up, but even when I asked on that call to check on our order, I was told it was fine- on its way... no, not fine, this was way longer than ANY other order, and while I can be understanding of delay, acknowledgement of the issue would have gone a long way! Might give another chance, but not for a while...

Best Chinese restaurant in Vancouver! My family has been eating here for years and while we miss the buffet, it is still a great establishment with a great owner. Eddie, the owner works hard to make sure everyone leaves happy and with a full stomach.

Use to be good when they had there buffet. But it's like a ghost town now. You can sit down and order off the menu only. The wife and I were shocked and very disappointed when we stopped in for lunch and no buffet.
Response from the owner - a week ago
JT. We closed the buffet because of our family's kids are older now. They go school. I need to leave the restaurant at 2 P.M., and come back around 5 P.M. With buffet, I need to cook open to close. Menu style restaurant gives us more flexibility. But hiring an extra chef is a burden to us financially. I hope you can understand our predicament and change your review. Thank you

Love this place and always have. Used to go there a lot when it was a buffet and since I now live 300 mile away, haven't been there since the change. My family still goes regularly and says it is still amazing. Besides the strain of having a buffet on the family who operates the business, I understand closing the buffet because it was abused and everyone knows it. Saw one complaint that the crab legs ran out and weren't replenished? Guess what? If you are regular, you know damn well the crab got rushed the second it was out by one or two tables taking heaping plates full of just crab! Not to mention how much that also happened with shrimp, clams, etc. That is not sustainable at $10 a plate. So don't be pissed at the owners, be pissed at the greedy people who ruined it for the rest of us. The owners need to profit, and from what I'veheard you still get a good amount of food for your money at TOA.

I called to confirm my online order and the pending transaction with them (this was our first time ordering), and Eddie (whom I believe is the owner), answered the phone and knew my name, and order before I even spoke a word. Was able to confirm everything and explain the charges on my account. I am extremely impressed with his level of customer service, and his obvious commitment to his customers. We are new to the Vancouver area but most definitely will be ordering here again. Coming from a restaurant background myself, I am beyond pleased!! Thank you!

Taste of Asia is a great restaurant to visit, and definitely the best quality in the Vancouver area. The staff is very friendly and takes great care of their customers!!! We love ordering delivery or dining in. Our family always feels right at home! The prices are great and they give you enough food to have lunch the next day! I Highly recommend this place to anyone, the owners really care about people and take pride in their place! Thank you!

I have had two poor experiences with this restaurant. The first time I called to clarify items on the menu and I was told that she was too busy to answer my questions. She said that if I wanted to know what the Daily Special was, I could come in and read the board. That was my first experience with the restaurant and we chose to eat elsewhere. The second time I ordered from them was an accident. We usually eat at another restaurant that we really like, but chose Taste of Asia and ordered online. 45 minutes later I called the restaurant and was told that I live too far away for delivery and they have 2 restaurant locations and I would be closer to the other one (I assume this is Taste of China, which is actually great). I said choosing the location was not an option on the website, and he said that having it be that way was "too confusing." He said that my order would take an additional 35 minutes and I cancelled my order. He called me back immediately and let me know the food was done and could be delivered in 10-15 minutes. If this restaurant runs Taste of China as well, that is their only redeeming factor. The customer service at Taste of Asia has been awful the two times I have spoken with them.

They no longer have a buffet. The veggy mein low and pot stickers were good. The tea and Orange chicken was cold. The house fried rice was bland.
