An hour late into the office this morning. Car in front of me swerved to miss a pallet in the middle of the highway. She over corrected and slammed into the concrete barrier on the left. I immediately pulled over behind her and ran to her car. I was first on the scene followed by an off fire man. My hands smell like the lady perfume. Stayed with her till the firemen got there. Police showed up, said we were doing a better job than they could do and stayed out of our way. She was out when I opened her door, talked to her and asked her questions. She started to come around. She was thinking it was Thursday, October 12, 2012. When I left she knew her birthday. She was driving her daughters car. Her daughter is 16. They bought her daughter the car as a graduation gift and they were going to pay it off. She was so upset that her daughter was going to be mad. Na, her daughter will be happy that she is alive. Car is gone though. I didn't know air bags smoke after they deploy, they sure do stink. Lady had bruises from the seat belt, hurt to move her head and hurt to take deep breaths. I felt strange going through her purse, but I was trying to find her drivers license. She is going to be ok. I want to send her flowers but don't know where they are taking her or anything else. I just know her name and the smell of her perfume. I was lucky to be there for her, to comfort her. I would only hope that if something like that ever happened to me then, people would do the same. Thankful it was only one car involved and she will be ok. She's going to be sore, but she is alive.
