"LOOK UP. STAY ALIVE."
If you're driving through Australia, be sure to watch out for drop bears. It's like the Boogie Man, but way scarier.

Okay, it's official. I've had this page for almost a year now and I still have no idea how this is different/better than Facebook. Can anyone out there enlighten me?

My big issue is Facebook not showing me my full feed. I saw it most with likes/pages. I liked pages because I wanted to see the content it posted. If a page is posting more content than I want to see, Facebook gave me settings to control what was allowed into my feed. However, behind the scenes Facebook has additional filters on what shows up in the news feed. If you don't routinely like, comment, or share a post from a page, the page slowly disappears from your news feed. I tried to reduce the filtering by making a list just for my favorite pages but it didn't work. A big plus for Google+ is that they as far as I can tell they are not filtering content. If a page I like posts, I see it.
The settings here are more clunky and less developed than Facebook, but at least I'm not missing content because Facebook decided I wasn't interested enough to see it.
BTW - There are ways to post here and have it feed to Facebook, but it only works for public posts.

There's that still moment right before a journey is set in motion that makes me dream of all the possibilities to come... I love that feeling and continue to chase it all over the world...

I love the contrast of what I imagine a place will be like and how it actually is. I'm rarely disappointed.

For those who find me here, two Google+ pages are too much, so I only use my Turf to Surf Page these days. If you want to connect with me there, go to https://plus.google.com/b/100202998759811721243/100202998759811721243/posts

I don't know how to delete this page, so I guess I'll have to live with two!
