This world cup reflects how the world is changing. The greatness of big nations (Italy, France, England, Brazil, Germany,...) is slowly but surely being dominated by emerging countries (Costa Rica, Chile, Croatia,...). The world is changing fast, while Lebanon is figuring out how to pay for watching rather than playing world soccer. Ironic isn't it?

I don't think any kids are playing football every day except the poor nations that don't have the money to fund their teams for a world cup challenge. I just think that it is an outcome of players from emerging countries playing in big leagues then returning to play for their nations.  Nevertheless, I think this is a healthy movement for the world nations.
