Sandstone Fins Under the Milky Way

This is a 2 shot pano of the Milky Way arcing over the sandstone fins that encompass the Sand Dune Arch area. We used some LED panels to light the fins otherwise they would be totally silhouetted against the dark skies of Arches National Park.

Nikon D600 & 14-24mm @ 14mm
f/2.8 - 2 x 25 secs - ISO 4000
Stitched & processed via LR & PS CC

My request: 0-35 mph walking speeds. Tapping any random tree trunk for hot coffee: Indonesian, Peruvian, exclusive farms, some 3-region blends, dark roasts. I mean, if that's not too much to ask. Hey thanks, that'd be super.

Currently sitting in an airport lounge with no visible outlets and a phone at 45%-- I chuckled out loud. Those damn things are like striking gold in airports. Thankfully I travel through here often and I know a where a few well hidden sweet spots are ;)

Such a good tutorial for those newbies editing portraits in Photoshop.

I just used this technique to edit a portrait and I was blown away.

Man, I love the brain and all its complexity. I'm waiting for the ability to transmit data into my brain so I don't have to deal with this pesky studying thing anymore.

Neuroscientists can now transmit and broadcast the thoughts of an individual to a group of people over a long distance. The researchers used the internet to transmit thought data from India to France. This type of communication is called hyperinteraction -- the brain-to-brain (B2B) communication using "computer-mediated" technologies like non-invasive brain-computer interfaces (BCI) and computer-brain interfaces (CBI). And yet, I thought we've already achieved this hyperinteraction with mobile devices, IMs, social networks... The infographic shows a high-level view of the B2B communication. Read more about this research from PLOS ONE: plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0105225

è strano come la nostra società sia velocenel raggiungere nuovi obiettivi tecnologici che però non sono al passo con lo stato dei rapporti fra gli individui che presentano ancora gravi problemi irrisolti. Questi problemi sono più essenziali

I love this idea.

A team of engineers is working on transparent solar panels that can double as windows, but that still capture enough light to generate power.
