Furniture in the Garden
First seeing Agatha Christie murder mysteries on tv, ca. 1980, I was captivated with scenes of furniture on the lawn.  What motive could possibly force anyone to move furniture to the lawn, whence it must be removed, to mow?  I wanted that life, the life no...

How Chickens Came to be Garden Designers
Notice the small evergreen hedging, below, along the gravel?  Thought low hedging was done as a garden design element, in the beginning, as in at least before the era of Christ, literally.  Then, I had a client with a cutting garden.  I did the classic pota...

Happy Daisies
In the early 80's a girlfriend, recent college grad like all of us, was on a motorcycle and hit head-on.  I was living in a garage apartment, working full time at a bank, paying for starter husband's masters degree, not eating dinner many nites, to save mon...

Taking Historic into the Modern Realm
Clearly a master's touch, below, playing with history, cunningly modern. . Whimsy, below, in the metaphor of sanctity.  What?  Taking the choice, below, to walk into the garden, you must bow your head, at the shrine of espaliered trees. . Soon, hedging will...

Color & Architecture's Relationship

Tara Dillard: Garden & Home
Introduction

Gardens begin inside your home on axis with key views.  Interior style and colors + exterior architecture are seamlessly combined, with historic templates, to create a vanishing threshold.

Online design, TaraDillard@AGardenView.biz, with a contracting dream team locally.

Gardens are a moat of grace around our life & home.

Garden & Be Well.

"Our lives are about getting the outside to match the inside." Jung

Written several books & hosted my own TV show on CBS yet the most important thing I do is design gardens.

Care and attention to detail. A small office-team but skilled. Dedicated. Will do the hospital care for you too, so many only do the office and pass you off to 'who ever' is on call at the hospital when you need it. Dr. Roman is a quiet man, because he listens to you intently. He will take the pause then speak, a thinking man. Cannot say enough good about this office/staff.
