Global March for Lions  #cats   #wildlife   #conservation   #lions   #lioncubs   #photography

On March 15th, 2014, 38 cities around the world, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth will march to raise awareness of the plight of South Africa’s lions and to shed light on the “canned lion” hunting industry.

Canned hunting is a practice where lions are bred in captivity, hand reared for use in the cub petting industry, and when they’re grown and have become accustomed to human contact, shot in an enclosure often drugged, for large sums of money.
Global marches are in support for Campaign Against Canned Hunting (CACH) and the work they do.

For more information on how you can help or the city closest to you where you be a part of this global march visit : www.cannedlion.org and www.march4lions.org.
