There's No Place Like Home
Our solar system is home to 8 planets, 5 "dwarf-planets," hundreds of moons and countless asteroids, meteors and meteorites. We call the third large rock from the sun, "Earth," and so far, all of the things we know and understand have came from observations we've made here. Like it or not, it would seem as if we are grounded here for the foreseeable future, despite our best efforts otherwise. Therefore, perhaps our journey to other stars should begin here; just as life did billions of years ago.
Here are some basic, but interesting facts we know about our solar system: http://www.fromquarkstoquasars.com/theres-no-place-like-home/
I have been around from the time G+ was invitacional, passed the beta version and watched it florish into what it is today...
It is thanks to G+ that my passion for photography grew, but the same thing that made my hobby blossom was almost the death of it.
For a while there i was almost wanting to give up on photography. Why?
I have seen here some amazing photogs that just don´t get any feedback and some truly lousy ones that "get away with murder".
I don´t think i am a great photog, but i ain´t lousy either. Anyway here is a bit of my story to see if any of you can relate
In the begining, shooting with my Samsung phone, i would not care about things like visibility or +1´s ... But as my photography evolved, and i dare to say it has come a long way, those things begun to matter more and more. And i would not understand how come some really lousy pictures would get an astonishing amount of pluses and some of mine that i honestly thought weren´t bad at all , only my G+ friends would take the time to tell me their thoughts, critiques, encouragement, and ways to progress. I thank those people from the bottom of my heart... You know who you are.
So i just came to a point i thought i just didn´t had what it takes... I simply wasn´t good enough. I stopped shooting and for some months had my camera gathering dust as a piece of decor. And i forgot about all of it...
But you know what passions are like... They´ll sneak up on you and nag you until you´ll do something about it.
Some weeks ago i couldn´t take it anymore. The beautiful light outside was calling me, luring me and i had just to go!
What followed is one of my most productive periods ever!
I understand it now...
The thing is that here in G+ there are the most amazing photogs, there are people that can market their work really good and then there are some people that will use every trick that they have up their sleeves.
It is easy that one´s work is burried in the stream.
So really, if you are like me learn this
I do photography because i love it, it is a part of me.
I share it because i want other people to see my take on things, my POV.
And Honestly as long as somebody sees one of my images and is left with a good feeling, well, makes it all worth it! =)
