I'm still getting a handle on my new website, but I finally figured out how to create my monthly newsletter. Yay me. Lol. Here is a link for the first one, but if you'd like to receive it in your inbox, go to my main site and the subscribe info is at the bottom right hand side of the homepage. I'll put the web link in the comments. Happy Tuesday!
Hello Readers! Welcome to my first ever newsletter! Since launching the new site, I've been writing quite a bit and would like to grow the community. I had a nice following on my last platform, TypePad and would like to surpass that now that I'm hosting my blog content on WordPress.

My #author #website is finished! Check out my first #blog post from my new space and let me know your thoughts! http://bit.ly/1DfAur3
It's been a long time coming, but my transition from a site solely for blogging to a full-fledged author site is complete! I created my blog Lyric Fire in 2009 and initially it was just a forum to feature my poetry, but it grew into a place that became a writer's haven and sanctuary.

New ‪#‎blog‬ post: A Brown Girl Comprised Of Unicorns. ‪#‎Poetry‬
This is where I'm from. Poetically speaking, of course. Sometimes I feel like a unicorn. Perhaps this will shed light on why.

My latest ‪#‎blog‬ post is about the loss of my brother & my work/writing news.
A writer's life is often filled with twists and turns, making reality sometimes mirror our creations. Or at least they give us more meat to put in the stew.

Invigo Marketing Systems are Five-Star marketers. They were able to advise me on a online marketing strategy for my business and I have been very pleased with the results. They not only help you implement your plan, but they also can help you ramp up your digital footprint and improve the design and usability of your website and other online marketing tools. I highly recommend the team at Invigo. They get the job done.

I was told I was their first ACA (Obamacare) patient! I had to wait a little as I had to fill out my first visit paperwork and get some things straight regarding my insurance, but when I was taken back for my consultation and cleaning, Dr. McDonald was very friendly and personable which was great as it's always nerve-wracking when you're going to a new doctor for the first time. She was very informative about the dental procedures I need and suggested the ones that were more practical instead of trying to upsell me. Her work is very thorough and I can tell she has been doing dentistry for a while. She has a gentle hand and makes sure you're okay. I will definitely recommend her to others, especially those who have Obamacare. You won't be turned away if you have it, unlike some other dentists I came into contact with. I had a pleasant visit and will return.

I am very disappointed with how I was treated by this dental office. After making an appointment through ZocDoc (which lets you know whether or not the doctor is in your network) I was led to believe that my insurance was accepted. My appointment was booked and approved. I then called on the day of the appointment to confirm the payment method for the co-pay and was told that my insurance is accepted through Medicaid but not through the Affordable Care Act, which I have a plan through. So if I had not called, I would have made a needless trip. The receptionist claimed someone called and left me a message, but that was a lie. I never received a message at all. I found the way this handled to be very unprofessional. I think it's wrong that these doctors get to pick and choose which insurance they will accept when they are listed as a participating doctor for a certain plan. Then when I wrote a comment on their Facebook page it was deleted. An apology and further explanation would have been nice. I'm sure I am not the only one who is experiencing this type of treatment when it comes to the ACA plans and I hope others speak out on it as well. It's wrong and should be illegal.
