While I'll avoid pointing out the irony of this turning up all over Facebook, or that the video asks you share it using exactly the tools it wants you to stop using, lets just say I think it's pretty disingenous. The social connections people maintain using mobile media are often the closest ties they have - staying connected to loved ones or close friends often over vast distances - but more importantly, social media is used more than anything else to reinforce relationships that began and usually persist face to face. Trying to maintain some archaic 90s distinction between online and 'real' life doesn't make sense any more, and a video like this, as appealing and shiny as it might be, is devaluing the deeply social nature of so many interactions on social media.

I found it pretty insincere too - some of my best friends are ones I met online and have regular social interactions with through instant messaging, Twitter or Facebook.  By saying you should stop using social media, you could potentially miss out on meeting that future wife he speaks about anyway.

Awesome ambiance, with a well-hidden upstairs section with the funkiest ceiling art (completely covered in books). The coffee was great, and pancakes were to die for.
