This is why I find the junk food analogy a good one.
Today I didn't have enough leftover pilaf for lunch to get me through the day - but I did have $5 in my pocket - it would have been easy to buy a pie and cram it into my mouth.
But instead I went to the local supermarket, bought $5 worth of steak, and then cooked it in our sandwich press in the office kitchenette.
Time wise it probably took me 10 minutes to cook the steak - which is bugger all really. But the biggest hurdle was getting my head around the idea that it was possible to have a steak for lunch for bugger all cost and time - and not just going straight for "convenience food".
But yes, we shall catch-up by phone or something.
