JFC. Republicans are either stupid or think we are (although the jury is still out I'm going with option #2). Have they ever heard of, wait for it, public record which their votes are always put into?
The nominees seem to really like "Do as I say, not as I do" and forget their own history an awful lot!
I see criticizing people who vote the same way as you an improvement at opposing legislation you sponsor.
When it comes to raw intelligence, Talent is probably considerably closer to Santorum (and the three dropped-out Evangelical candidates) than he is to Romney. But that's exactly what Romney wants right now--he wants the dim-witted radicals speaking on his behalf, to make it appear to the GOP voters that he's one of them. The truthfulness of the message is completely irrelevant to the purpose of the arrangement. And if they screw up, well, everyone knew that they were not rocket scientists.
