In a modern home looking at downtown Seattle on a sunny day through the floor to ceiling windows. I can see myself there even when not taking the photos.

My way of photographing real estate is to tell a story of the house. How does it flow, how do the rooms connect, how do you feel when you're inside. The search for truth... The French New Wave filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard once said, "Photography is truth. The cinema is truth twenty-four times per second." From a shoot for JR. Nobles in University Place, Washington.

Light is such an essential cornerstone of photography. Light to a photographer is what ink is to a writer. Finding creative ways to work with available light but supplementing it with my own is what makes me tick. In smaller spaces, finding where to hide my flashes is one of my favorite challenges - especially when it works. Yes, light normally comes from above, but putting a flash near the ceiling was not possible here, so making it work with what's available. Shooting here for @dogsnponies in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Whenever doing an architectural, construction or a real estate shoot, I want to tell the story of the space. What is its flow, the feel, the emotion? It's an adventure. You never know what is lurking behind a corner - a dog, a buyer, the seller, the agent... Shooting for @athomewashington in Tacoma, Washington.

It sure must be nice soaking in a jet tub while watching boats sail by through the expansive window of this north Tacoma, Washington home.

An elegant family room. High ceilings and live plants give this area a cozy, spacious and relaxed atmosphere.

A small but cozy fairytale-looking house. I almost wish the path leading to it was made of yellow bricks.
