Took the Sony Mavica FD-91 Floppy Drive camera out for a stroll! It's still winter like weather, and fog rolled in like none other, but I thought I could get a few cool shots! I took a total of 32 shots before the battery either gave out, or the battery just got too cold to provide power. Out of the 32, I thought these 4 were the best! Let me know what ya think! Remember, this camera is from 1999-2000 and has a resolution of 0.8mp or 1024x768 and saves it's pictures to a floppy disk.

I think if the lighting was better, the pictures could be a whole lot better! We will see! This won't be the last time I take this guy out. It was pretty cool taking this camera out, as I wasn't the only one taking pictures of the foggy park with their camera's. As I was changing floppies, I would get asked what it was that I was using, and they were amazed that the camera still works! (So am I to be honest, how the battery still works confuses me.) It's a pretty neat conversation to have with the locals, and I get to learn about their gear too! One person had a 21mp camera... in his phone! Haha, awesome!

Compacted the solar power system! Now I can easily unplug this from the house and the solar panels and bring my solar power system with me all in one box!

This box has 35ah worth of lead acid batteries inside, 3 12 volt car sockets, 1 USB power outlet and 2 house power outlets. There's 40 Watts worth of solar panels outside. In one good day, the solar panels will charge the batteries fully from 0℅ which I label as 11.9 volts for lead acid batteries.

This solar power system can power a whole house 12 volt lighting system, a whole house radio, a single TV and cell phone chargers for three days without sun. With sun? forever! Need other things? There is house hold sockets on this system! Just plug in your favorite item and your good to go!

I paid a total of ~200~ for this system, and it's saved me a few times when the power had gone out for days at a time. It's been a few years on and off, making this. It's been fun, and I am not done yet!

This is now sitting in a corner of our living room.

My little production studio! I can't wait to have more space to make this look better! People recently have been asking me about transferring their old VHS family tapes to digital, So I grabbed a VHS player and it's now hooked up to the computer via a USB capture card. Just need to clean the read head, because it has noise in the picture, but until then, maybe I can make some of those V a p o r w a v e things that have become popular.

Got myself a new camera! A Sony Mavica FD-91! Their DSLR-like Floppy disk camera! Takes photos at a staggering 1024x768! A little low by today's standards, but the 14x zoom will make sure that my subject is right where I need it to be! Manual focus, Optical image stabilization and more!

The camera can store about 7 - 10 photo's per floppy at it's highest quality, or 20 - 30 at the lowest 640x480 mode. On top of taking pictures, this camera can take video! Yup! Also to the floppy disk! The video records at a whopping 160x120 at 10fps for 30 seconds, or 320x240 for 7 - 10 seconds.

When I got this camera, I had only one lonely Floppy to play around with! So off to ebay I went to grab... Haha, quite a few more! 18 or so in a variety of colors! I sure hope to go out and snap a few pictures soon! Just gotta wait for this winter weather to pass by!

If you are interested in seein' some pictures taken by this camera, let me know and I will be sure to post them here! See ya then!
