+TVLine excited and thanks! I hope he doesn't change the past yet, maybe next season because it will affect all shows if he does

+TVLine I'm so very sad about the cancellation of American Idol. Alas, popularity never last forever. That has been true for every number one juggernaut from the start of TV's history. Phenomenal hits like, I Love Lucy, M.A.S.H, The Cosby Show, Friends, etc., all had to come to an end eventually. But Idol had a longer & more successful run than any of them. It created more superstars than any of its imitators, or its predecessors. And almost single handedly, it revived a then struggling music industry. If the time has come to end the show, then so be it. But its accomplishments & its legacy will never end.
I don't know who'll win this season of Idol. They're all equally deserving. But job well done & good luck to all who've ever been a part of this historic journey. There will never be another "Moment Like This."
